I've been offered my auntie's head dress/tiara from when she got married to use for my wedding. I really like it on but not sure if it's maybe bit old fashioned or even what I would do with hair if I used it. What do you think?

looks very delicate, maybe get some big bouncy curls in your hair to contrast against it? does it match with your dress?

I'm not sure...I hope so! I haven't seen them both together - I may phone the shop and ask if I can go in and have a wee look!

this is my dress...I think they will look fine together because the dress is quite simple and the head dress isn't overly fussy either. There are little pearls on the head dress which will match my jewelry and veil.

I'm totally in two minds myself...I like how it looks on me in that picture but I can't really picture me wearing it on the day if you know what I mean?

I personally doesn't think the two go together. But honestly that's ny opinion if you try them both together and feel confortbable happy and like a princess then go for it girl.

i cant tell how it fits on ur head, is it a tiara style or a head band or like a full circle? is there anyway u could customise it? i dont think it goes with the dress atm cos it does look a bit old fashioned and ur dress looks quite modern but thats not saying u couldnt change it a bit and add some bling etc to bring it up to date! im sure it would look lovely if u did that and curls would look good with it too i think. only my opinion but hope it helps x

I am worried about it looking old fashioned.

It's a full circle, when my auntie wore it she had it more down around her forehead wear as I would want something sitting a bit further back on my head out of my fringe. To be honest, I'm actually leaning towards something a lot more modern looking. I'm definitely using the veil though as it's lovely and will match my dress.

unless u can change the shape or maybe cut part of it off and sit it on ur head like a tiara then i would choose something else, just cos i think the styles dont really match. if u can get a bit creative with it though u might be surprised with how it can look! good luck, sure u will look lovely on ur day x

Could you incorporate in your wedding another way, like for example if you have a flowergirl it could be decorated with a couple of flowers and used as a flower ring for her to carry. Or it could as mentioned previously be customised maybe if your auntie doesnt mind, like into a shape such as a butterfly (as noticed you have some butterflies in your pics) and incorporated into another headband or into your veil or so on. If you are having a ring cushion it could be used to decorate it even. Just a few thoughts but it is a lovely unique tiara. xx

I don't really think it suits you the way it is in the picture as its a slightly odd shape. However the detail in it is lovely, does your auntie want it back the way it is or are you free to do what you want to it? if you can I would have it customised by taking the pearls and beads and turning them into a more modern tiara that would work more with your dress.
    Ps your dress loves stunning
    xx

although I like everything separately, in my opinion I dont think the tiara goes with the more modern feel of the dress. I am not sure though, would have to see you in the dress with the tiara and the veil hun x Good luck with whatever you go with.
