Hi Girls,

I bought a collection 2000 waterproof mascara ages ago but when I put it on it cracks and wee lumps come off once its dry. Now my make face always incudes liquid eyeliner, I dont feel myself without it on. So I really want a decent one because I dont want to have to keep reapplying it. Anyone know of any good ones? I got quite an expensive mascara (cant remember what brand) that is waterproof but its lumpy too. I am going to be wearing subtle fake eyelashes (I am going for 40's glam look) so I was wondering if anyone can suggest a good waterproof mascara that will work with thin fake eyelashes.

I usually use any old make up but as I want to do my own make up, I want stuff that will last for as much of the day as possible. Plus I hate waterproof stuff as it takes ages to get it off. My knowledge aint too good on this. Could anyone reccomend good (not expensive) waterproof shizzle?

the best one i have found is in a yellow tube by max fa***r. i jumped into a pool on holiday and it didnt budge. you will need a good eye make up remover to get it of but it really is good x

oh i just read the fake lashes bit. i dont know what its like with falsies but you shouldnt have a problem x

I recommend getting eyelashes tinted, its fab. I can't wear mascara as I wear contacts and am always touching eye, sometimes without realising and I end up with bigger bags than normal, lol. I have had it done several times for weddings, and its brilliant, only takes 20 mins and the difference it makes, its waterproof and lasts about 4 weeks. I normally have it done when I have eyebrows waxed.

as for eyeliner, well i like boots no.7 but waterproof? nope not that i have found, i always hve to reapply it x

I had my eyelashes tinted once before and it didnt make a huge difference to my lashes. I'm not sure if its cos I have really fine light blonde hair maybe? I wear contact lenses too, maybe that would be a bit of a pain with lashes on now I think about it....I do have two pairs though so will be doing a couple of run throughs before the big day.

My favourite eyeliner was always loreal (in a thin gold container) but I cant find the waterproof version....

I may have to pop into the make up counter and ask advice. Last time I went into superdrug and this pure nugget happened to be the person I asked. She looked at me as if I had 2 heads so I bought the first one and left. I'm not good with chavvy/neddy girls lol.

It could be possible due to the blonde hair, I am dark brown and my eyes looked brighter and didn't look like I had many bags under eyes.

Yeah, I have no eyelashes or eyebrows without make up. Its really annoying. Ive just ordered a wee eyebrow powder kit cos I always feel the pencil looks really obvious. Its like you can see where Ive drawn on no matter how much I smudge it in lol

Good post - I had a no 7 liquid liner that was stay perfect but it formed little clumps too and didn't last well at all
I have found putting on my normal eye liner with some powder over the top seems to work pretty well

I used to find the maybelline waterproof one in the pink and green package really good but haven't had it in a while

Water proof mascaras are always drier than usual mascaras. It's difficult to find a good one that doesn't come out all clumpy. Blasting them with a hair dryer to melt the formula helps it go on smoother though!

Oh, I'm sure you can get a sealer for liquid eyeliners so it doesn't budge too. I'm sure ELF does one.
