Its a lovely choice and I would'nt worry to much about the lyrics, if you like it go with it. I've read on here some people are having songs with lyrics about breaking up but their still having the song cos it means something personal to them.

I have to say it is the best song ever as it was our 1st dance song too 11 days ago. I have loved that song since I first heard it in the film City of Angels. It is a lovely romantic film I honestly suggest you watch it. The lyrics are perfect and it has a part within the song where there is an instrumental before the big final build up...this part was perfect for us to go from a slow shuffle dance to where Steve pulled out and twirled me under his arm etc for a big finale part to the dance. xx

I don't think the lyrics are that bad, I googled it just to see, it's nothing really obvious to be put off by in my opinion.

That is my fave song and we are having it as our first dance. I did worry about the lyrics initially but it was H2b who said its the meaning for us not what the song actually says. It's always been our song to dance to so we are going for it, most people won't analyse the meaning but will be celebrating your first dance so I'd say don't worry.

Its a lovely song, we initially wanted 'slide' by the googoo dolls but as its a song about making a choice to stay or go we didnt think it was appropriate, its such a shame though because we love it. If Iris is the one for you then have it... no one will probably be listening to the words anyway! :-) xx
