though my mil2b and my b2b want me to cut back on the sparkles a bit :(

i used the hotfix crystals and the candikane wand fantastic they are, your best bet for the shoes would be 4mm or 16ss crystals as i found that they tend to not leave a gap , i used the ab crystals for the bridesmaid shoes.but for mine im using a red ab they are obiosuly red but in the light they shine all rainbow colours havnt finished them yet so ill put up some pics when finished,xx

I have just had a look at your shoes Sharon and they are amazing! You have been very busy. lol
I don't think I woud ever have time and patience to completely cover shoes in crystals so I look for shoes now that have a trim or particular pattern that I can use to follow. So far done my wedding shoes, my hen shoes and a black pair for my h2b's 40th, 2 days after the wedding. xx

yeah i cant make my mine up about crystallising the back so I'm off to my sisters on Sunday will see what my nieces and sister thinks i have trimmed the back in crystals and was thinking about doing a second row. it is really addictive and i can see my self doing shoes for all my nieces this year i still have my other shoe to finish and my bridesmaids ones to do but they look a lot better then i thought and Ive just order some smaller ones to fill in a few gaps xx

I've been using crystals too. I've put them on my bouquet, got a bit carried away and put them on my phone too...... I'll be doing my shoes next, then the little girls shoes. I don't use hotfix crystals, I use flat backed ones with some GemTac and position them individually. I prefer the gemtac especially for clothing because the more you wash it the more it sticks, I've used hotfix before and sometimes the glue can be patchy and they often have problems sticking around the edges.
RachelMarie, the iron on gems are hotfix, they can either be applied with an iron or with the hot fix applicator (the wands). Not sure on transfer tapes.... I would recommend hotfix for first timers, it can get a bit messy with the gemtac method if you're not used to it.

i have found some ballerina pumps for my bridesmaids in primark and have got some crystal type things from hobby craft so im going to my creative side a whirl and hope they look ok, not sure my sisters would want me to make some bling looking shoes from them as they are grown women but for one day it would be fun lol x
