Hey girls last night on a work do with mums shop I found my wedding ring I think. Let me explain I didn't pick it up ooff the floor lol. It's my grandmas wedding ring. I thought my sister had got dibs onit just like evrrything else but she hadn't. So I tried it on with my ring and it looked great with it shape wise. The only probelm is it's gold and my engagement ring is White gold. I'm not really a fan of gold but I might keep it that way was just wonder could I have it made to White gold. I did want my mums ring but she lost it. I was gutted. Mum saw a medium recently and they had to cut the ring off my grandma when she died when my mum was 15 and she had her mum come through and told her to fix it. Maybe I was Ment to have it xxx

You may be able to have it dipped in white gold? Id ask a jeweller - also if it means alot to you have it. I would love my Nanas Wedding ring but im afraid I'll never see that again as my aunt has it and her daughter in law will probably get it if anything happens to her

Apparently - "White gold is an alloy of gold and at least one white metal, usually nickel, manganese or palladium." and it is then rhodium plated which hides any slight yellowish hues in the alloy. So you may well be able to get it rhodium plated. I know when I had a two colour gold ring resized, the jeweller was able to re-do the rhodium plating on the white gold part of the ring.

iv just thought aswell a friend of mine had a white gold engagement ring and choose a gold wedding ring which had 2 bands crossing over so she had one band changed to white gold to tie it in with her engagement ring. u do need to keep on top of it so it doesnt turn yellowish but my jeweller said it only costs £20-£25 to have it recoated not as much as ppl think!

That is a really nicde thought. I dont see why you cant have it made white gold. You might have to have it touched up every now and again as it might rub off over wear and stuff

I had a yellow gold necklace plated with white gold so I'm sure you can do it the other way around. It was a St Christopher for my H2B and 5 years later it still looks good. May need recoating soon but has lasted well and looks like it was always that colour
