Sitting wrng way on toilet i heard is the easiest if u dnt like ppl joining u(i dnt lol) x
CommentAuthorlala "mod" bunni
the easiest way is actually to turn round and face the back of the loo
Lol yeah i was going to try that but the toilets are really low down at my reception so worried about falling off haha hence why i found other idea :) x

Fortunately where we were staying at the venue, if I needed a loo break I went to our room, it had more room in there. I never set foot in the toilets downstairs and the first time I did after the wedding, I would never have fitted in there.
I used the disabled toilet and hitched my dress right up :) SIL said she had her Mum and Bridesmaid helping her, but I didn't really want an audience! Husband would've helped if I'd asked though :)
CommentAuthorRachaelB76
think im just going to tackle this on the day. can see me falling over trying to use the bin bag tip. will grab the bridesmaids if i need help xx
CommentAuthorVictoriaL46
I have been told to straddle the toilet. Not sure I would have this as a photo opportunity though like this bride did :-/

Taking your hoop out if you have one part through the night helps a lot.

I just took my dress off in my room at the reception venue then got back into it after using the loo. My sister did the same.

I went to the bathroom before I put my dress on at 2pm. I didn't go again at all until I took it off about 2am. I didn't even feel like I needed to go.

Wow Claire. That's a long time to go!

Clair I don't think I could manage that. As soon as I drink alcohol I'm usually visiting the little girls room within about an hour :-/
I'm planning on using my hoop as a way of helping the situation. Essentially get my girls to lift it so the skirt of the dress is "bowled" into it at least from the front. Now this is just what I plan... I may likely discover this is a lot more difficult that I think.

MidgetGem89 Pretty much what I am thinking. Though funnily when we visited the venue the events co-ordinator called the ladies disabled toilet The Bridal Loo.

CommentAuthorEmily17
that seems more faffy that scooping my train and yanking it round to the front while I sit down if im honest. hoping my hoop will help as it means less layers of material

I had similar sentiments in the cards I sent to my girls, Flossie. Tbh two are old school friends so I think we've all seen each other pee on nights out when we were younger so this will just make us giggle. I did check when I tried my dress that I could hitch it up enough to go. A friend had a tight fishtail dress and she struggled a bit x
CommentAuthorElinor Claire
I found that I was ok when I went to the disabled loo. The first time I went two of my bridesmaids did come to hold the dress, but the second time I decided to try alone before asking them to come with me, and I found that it was ok. I just made sure I lifted the skirts up well out of the way.

It wasn't easy, but I went on my own.
I scooped it up as much as I could and faced the toilet. It was harder than I thought it'd be and because of the corset I couldn't get my knickers back up all the way after!
Luckily it was only once I needed to go.

Omg I just thought what if they have those automatic toilet flushes? I was at a conference the other day, leant forward to reach the loo roll and it flushed while I was still sat on it. That would be a disaster in a wedding dress! Especially if your facing the wrong way. I'm going to check out the toilets next time when I go to the wedding fair in a few weeks just to make sure x
CommentAuthorKatieH
I hope I won't need to go to often. The trouble is, once I go for the first wee I'm going every 30 mins after LOL

Sad as I am I struggled using the loo when I was a bridesmaid and wore a maxi dress, it had a little puddle type train at the back, it was a gorgeous dress but not very practical lol.
