I am having four adult bridesmaids and 2 flower girls...all the adult dresses I like are around £200 so dresses alone are going to cost around £800 and thats with out paying for hair, makeup, gifts, hair accessories etc...**panic**
Any ideas of where I can save some money on any of the above? Any links, please post on my wall.....

Have you thought about the high street for the adult BM dresses? Debenhams have lots, John Lewis, Monsoon etc? And Alsod Debenhams/John Lewis/BHS for the flower girls?

or look at the clearance shops online for the dresses cheaper!

Go to the make up counters and get make up lessons? They'll happily spend an hour with you, and you don't have to buy anything! Gifts - silver jewellery can be very reasonable. I got my BMs pearl & cz pendants from F Hinds, they were £12.50 each.

I got my FG dresses out of Debham's. They were £26 each in the sale. My BM dresses were expensive, £200 each, but my mum paid half towards them, and they are buying their own shoes.
I am now Mrs Stacey Stiles and loving it!

Could you not ask them to chip in? I did when I was a BM for my friend - I paid towards my dress and shoes and paid for my own hair and make-up on the day too...

I got BM dresses of the bay of e for £30 each, they are paying for these themselves. I got their shoes off there too £15 each and their hair accessories about £3 each bags £5 each, They are doing their own hair and make up but i have bought their lipsticks and an eyeshadow for them all to use. I got them necklaces £7.50 and earings £3 sterling silver from ar gos. And will be getting them wrist corsages as flowers. for gifts i got the perfume gift sets about £12 each from the sales after xmas in bo ots. So all in all its not cost me a fortune. I also have my 2 little girls as little BMs and got all their stuff from deb en hams dresses £35, headbands £3 and bags £10. BARGAIN!!!!

just hit the bridal shop sales! I got two Alexia dresses that RRP for £230 each, for £50 each. I had to pay full price for another one for my 3rd bridesmaid as her size wasnt in the sale. But thats 3 dresses for £330. I got my flowergirl dresses of ebay for very little. And they are gorgeous Debenhams ones.

I would say go Highstreet and then there is more chance of you BM's being able to wear them again, if they want too. Other option, that one of my friends did was her BM's paid for half their own dresses, which they were all really enthusiasic to do, which is not what she was expecting at all.

go to outlet stores - I don't know the ones by you but up here in Yorkshire we have York designer outlet, Junction 32 and Dalton park near Durham. I got 2 dresses for £95 when they are supposed to be £115 each (from coast). Also - check out prices and sales on the net.

I too have 4bms and 2 flowergirls. I got high street dresses for the bms as I'd like them to be able to wear them again. They were £55 each. I have asked them all to just wear silver shoes, I'm not bothered if their shoes don't match & I'd rather they be comfortable, turns out 3 of them already have silver shoes do that's alright for them. I'm not paying for them to get their make-up done but my friend is a hairdresser & is going to do all our hair as my pressie. Haven't yet got the flowergirl dresses but have seen some cute ones in Debenhams today. X

there is a seller on ebay that specialises in deb en hams special dresses..she is brilliant at bargain hunting..my BM's are wearing ded en hams debut organza dresses which are £95 each but she got them for me for £22 each...I am having 4 adults and 2 flowergirls..the flowergirls are off ebay and custom made..they too were bargains..in fact everything for my wedding is a bargain..the bm's shoes are silver and were only £2.99 a pair in the sales..there are pictures on my profile page if you want to look..and i can send you links of anything you need if you would like me to. xxxxxx
