We're going to Alton Towers for our honeymoon, but both of us wear glasses. If we take our glasses off then we won't be able to see properly and won't enjoy ourselves, but if we keep them on then they will most likely fall off and get broken. Does anyone know of a way to keep our glasses on our faces? I know that very young children get a kind of strap to keep them on, but I have no idea if they are available in adult sizes or where to get them.

    Any suggestions?

You can get the straps from S-savers or even most big supermarkets will have them.

my brother in law wears glasses and whenever we have been to a theme park he wears his glasses but just takes them off just before getting on the ride and then back on straight after. im sure you can find a strap on ebay or in a glasses shop. or you could even coinsider contacts? x

You are probably best trying a sports shop the ones s savers etc all sell are just for hanging them around your neck instead of taking them off.
Failing that tie some elastic to the front of your glasses around your head and onto the other side of the lenses.

I have never had a problem with glasses on rides as long as they are secure.

When I say roller coasters, I mean the real adrenalin junky rides. Not securing them is not an option.

It's true, normally the g force holds them on. I have a grand theory that on most roller coasters you dont even need seat belts as the motion holds you in place....however no one has let me test this theory yet.....xx

You could always email someone at the park? Xx
