    Hey all,

My H2B and I went to give notice today and all went well, except one thing which I'm now worrying about. Basically, when she asked how long we'd lived at our current address I couldn't remember exactly, so I said "Just over a year" - my H2B apparently said "a year and a bit." Out of curiosity, when I got home I looked back through my Facebook to see how long we'd been at our address, and it's actually been around 18 months. I'm now worried we'll get in trouble for not being precise, especially given how we're not a month or two out, it's a good six months more than what we said. Should I call them to let them know? Or will that make it look suspicious? Am I totally overreacting? I suffer with terrible anxiety and I do have a tendency to make mountains out of molehills and some reassurance would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!

I'm sure it will be fine. You said just over a year, time flies, especially when you are busy. They won't not let you get married because you were not precise enough.

I wouldn't have even said that mattered as you both gave similar answers. Most questions are mainly to check you're not doing a scam immigration wedding etc x

And my hubby gave the wrong time we were planning on getting married. Originally we had wanted the last one of the day, but decided as we had to pay for the whole day we would get married slightly earlier, he forgot this!!!

Sounds fine to me :) I gave my job as a Quality Manager and H2b said "err Quality something", and he had a panic afterwards that he had said the wrong thing, but it's fine :)

I think most of it is a box ticking excerise to mainly check you are legal to marry, you are who you say you are, and that you aren't bigamists or related lol

I'm sure it will be fine Amy, don't worry about it! :-) you both gave similar answers to that will be absolutely acceptable. I don't think many people remember exactly when they moved in somewhere - you gave a rough answer so that's fine :-) xx

I think it's to do with being able to verify who you are etc. We had just moved house so all of our ID had our old address, she wasn't happy (she was a bit of a *****) but she just asked that we got an email sent through from my mam to verify that we are living with them. She accepted that as proof of address. They know a lot of people get nervous when giving notice, certainly know I was. I wouldn't stress yourself over it :)

Another one saying don't worry about it :-) They're really just trying to make sure it's all legal/not a sham marriage etc. OH forgot loads of stuff, inc when we met with the registrar the day before the ceremony, and it was fine lol

I wouldn't worry. I think they'd only be alarmed if you got each others names wrong or something!

Don't worry! I have memory issues and hadn't told them about having issues and when asked what h2b job was I went blank lol in the end I forgot the company he worked for but I described what I thought he did lol I worried in case they thought why doesn't she know where he works but h2b explained at the end and the lady said it was fine as they understand sometimes stuff can't be exact and she used the example of how long people have been together as some know to exact day where as others could be a few days/weeks or even months out lol
