I emailed the registry office to find out if we can give notice on a Saturday and we can !!!! So glad !! Means we don't have to book a day off work :-)
I'm booking the appointment for 5th July 2014, how far in advance would you guys advise that I book the appointment with them, I know it won't be til next year but when next year ? They only do appointments til 12 so I bet they get booked up quickly ! I emailed them to asked but they haven't replied :-/ So when do you reckon ? Xxx

Book it asap the sooner the better so many couples get married a year every month that they get booked up so quickly So get in their early while you can or you wont av a registrar I've got to wait till 2015 I think till I can give notice =D <3 X

Our registrar is already booked Hun :-) I want to know when to call them to book the appointment on 5th July 2014 to give notice.. As its a Saturday I don't want it to get booked up and have to wait to give notice even longer.. Xxx

Just had a look at you date, and would not recomend you giving notice that early, our regirsty office said "you can give notice a year to the day but is not recomended as if something happens , problem with venue, someones taken ill, it gives you no leeway as once you give notice you only have 1 year to get married or will have to give notice again, you should wait till atleast 10/11 months till your wedding" thats what they told me
As for when to call up to book, don't know how long they will take appointments.

Oh right.. Thanks for that Lana.. It'll have to be end of August then cause we have to give notice between 4th July 2014 and 4th Sept 2014 else we lose our date and have to rebook it.. Xxx

Book it now if you can. I managed to book my notice of marriage appointment about a week or two in advance with no problems, the office seemed to be pretty quiet, but there's no harm booking it early. Just had a note on the fridge to remind yourself when it is, as it is very far in advance.

that does not seem fair, our registry office has booked our date and we paid the deposit for it, we just have to pay the giving notice fees when we go to give notice and pay the outstanding fees for ceremony 6 weeks prior, and can give notice any time from 12 months prior to 3 weeks before wedding.
