no, i booked our wedding on the same day , then she offered us one for the very next day she had a canceled appointment, but it was too soon so i tuck tomo which was only 1 month from booking the wedding so pretty fast

You'll be fine, i was so excited when we went and afterwards its all official and i was even more excited lol :-)
She asked us our names, dob, address, what our job was. We had to take in up do date passport, decree absolutes (we've both been married b4), she filled in the forms on the computer, printed them off and we checked them and signed. These go up on display in the registry office (the banns), for 15 days i think ours were up for.
After that , she gave us some sheets with the legal wording and stuff on explained which bits you have to have and were u can add you're own, we can choose our own music, but they also gave us a list of music they already have there. As we are having registry office, we can't have any readings or music that mention god or anything religious. x

yea kinda of, if its church is banns are read out for 3 consecitive sundays, if civil you give notice of marrage at least 15 days before.... and not more than 1 yr in advance!

When we went they interviewed us seperately and asked us eachothers middle name date of birth and what job we did and then we filled out all the paperwork x

you need to fill in a lot of forms hunni so they can post your bans, you will need all the detail about your witnesses too DOB, ADDRESS, POSTCODE ECT, you can usually get the forms in advance so you have all the information ready, also need your birth cet ect with you xx

I'm pretty sure everyone has to do this don't they? Whether your getting married in a church, a registry office or a licensed venue. Its a legal requirement to get the marriage certificate isnt it? I've been and done mine today. It's fairly pointless taking u in seperately and asking u basic questions like names n DOB's. It's supposed to root out those getting married under false names or for fraudulent reasons etc. but they don't really ask anything that lets them see you're a "real" couple in my opinion! You can easiily learn some1s DOB!!
