Getting married in Comlongon Castle in Scotland this time next year.. The dreaded question of who will "give me away" has just reared its head. My parents divorced when I was only two and whilst I had regular contact with my dad and his new family as I was growing up, this has dwindled over the years . Relations are ok now, and whilst I want him, his wife and my two stepbrothers at my wedding, Ive always had my older brother who i'm really close to in mind for the job. Trouble is now I think my Dad will be gutted if hes not involved in some way!! Would it be weird to have them both do it?? Trying to keep everyone happy sucks!! :(

Have who you want. If you aren't close to your father - have your mum give you away! A friend of mine did that. And this year my H2b gave his sister away as she hates her father and they have had nothing to do with him since they were children. You can have who ever you want as long as it's special to you.

My best friend is having her mum give her away.

I think you can be given awayby who ever you feel right to do it and yes some people may not like or be upset by that choice but if u want both or if u want ur brother then u do what in ur heart u want xxxx

I went to a wedding last year where the bride was given away by both her parents. At the end of the day you need to do what's right for you xx

You could always ask one of them to do a reading/ be a witness so they are involved and have their own job
