So, I'm sure I'm not the only one who needs glasses...

What are you planning on doing on your wedding day? I've never seen a bride wearing glasses...

(Contact lenses are wrong and are not an option)

i am supposed to wear glasses but they just don't suit me i don't know what i'd do without my contact lenses. i'd like to have laser eye surgery but i'm too chicken i'd rather wear contacts forever then risk going blind. it's a shame i can't splash about in the swimming pool with my baby girl though i end up looking like some strange vain woman that refuses to get her head wet.lol

I have keratoconus (cornea is the wrong shape) in my right eye, so i cant have laser treatment either. I can have a cornea transplant but i dont like the idea of that, as i would have to be awake. I've tried lenses, but they werent suitable as they kept scratching my cornea and making it sore. xx

aww huni thats awful!! i dont like contacts either, coz i once read a story about a guy who came home drunk thought he had them in when he didnt went to the local A&E to get help taking his contact out, they used a suction thing and then realised he was wearing contacts... urrrghh and ouch!!!!

I've only started wearing mine all the time in the past 8 months or so so in my head I don't need to wear them on the day but know I really should, I'm tempted to try contacts but if I don't like them I will wear my glasses, the only part that bothers me about it is I'm going to the effort of wearing make up I'll want it to be visible, also won't want glare from glasses on the photos

A good photographer would be able to eliminateany lense flare off glasses, plus most glasses are anti glare.

To be honest i never even thought i'd not be wearing them on the day, they are part of me. xx

I can't stand my glasses, the lensdes are so thick but I can't afford to get them thinned down it's £150 for it!

I wear my contacts the majority of the time so that is what I am wearing on the big day :)

wow I don't know my percentage but that sounds low, I know I can't literally see past the tip of my nose though in either eye & when I go to the opticians I have to ask for a number chart as I'm dyslexic, sometimes I get funny looks about it though & it really bothers me.

i came out lucky tho, as i didnt breathe for 5 mins, they pronounced me stillborn and then i came back!! it cud have been so much worse, they told my mom and dad i could end up basically in a vegitative state...
im sorry if that sounds offensive, just not sure how to word it xx

Sorry that was to you mrsrathbone, I never pay attention to my prescription, I just notice the world getting fuzzier lol. I know I have to have more visual field tests done than most people because of a medical condition that can lead to it increasing, so far so good though

I have worn glasses since I was 8 for seeing distances and permanently since I was 14, have tried contact lenses off and on over the years but they havent suited me. So yes I will be wearing my glasses throughout my wedding or else I wont see a darn thing thats going on otherwise! My photographer asked me whether I would be wearing them so that he accommodates for them in the photos so to speak and myy eye make up will be slightly darker and more stand out ish so that its visible under my glasses too.

I am not me without them as everyone whos know me knows me with glasses and I think I look a bit odd without them now! x
