when i was bm we got a necklace for the day and then a jewelry box during the wedding breakfast. My brother who was 3 an pageboy got a little moneybox in the shape of a train, it was a little silver one and it was lovely, he loved it too :) i think its all down to personal taste what you get them and then, we are getting jewelry for the bms and cufflinks for the groomsmen, mothers will be getting flowers, fathers will be getting a personalised pint/wine glass :)
And my soul saw yours and said
"oh, I have been looking for you"

Hi Ladies,
I have been doing a lot of thinking about gifts and it is so hard so here is what I am thinking at present: H2B - A Nice Watch, I will get my MOH to deliver it to him morning of wedding. MOH & BM (Both my best friends) I am going to get them nice silver bracelets that they can wear on the day and I will give them on the morning of the wedding. Best Man and Ushers - I am just going to get them vouchers for their fav shops in UK I think they will appreciate that more. FG I am going to get a little Pandora or Thomas Sabo bracelet. Parents of the Bride & Groom gift vouchers for either their fav restaurant or show and when they arrive home from Cyprus I am going to organize for a big bouquet delivered to them then next day as I think it will cheer them up (Holiday Blues).
I hope this will be ok. x

Some amazing ideas on here I want to get them all lol!!
Quick question, noticed a lot of u r buying for both sets of parents, what would u do if ur parents were extremely helpful and definately needed a present and thank u in speech but OH parents don't give a monkeys about the wedding?? Is it awkward to give a present to one set of parents but not the other??
For BM I've seen some personalised wooden hangers which I thought would be great, put the date on and their position, then they can hang their dress on it after?
CommentAuthorMrsK2b
I have got a few extra presents for my parents but I am giving them to them in the morning.
You could do something like that if you wanted to?
Cant wait until I become Mrs K

I've been looking at gifts already! The wedding is still 18 months away lol. For BMs - Saw some swarovski earrings on groupon for £6 a pair, a photo frame with a pic from the hen night in, wooden heart tags with a different message for each girl, and a personalised bottle of wine. For H2B (best man will give him it on morning) - got him some thundercats cufflinks in purple to wear on the day (he's obsessed lol!), a keyring that is one jigsaw piece with the wedding date on and I keep the other, a miniature bottle of vodka to steady his nerves, an engraved lighter and cigarette for the same purpose, and a bottle of his favourite aftershave For Best man - personalised shot glass and bottle of jaeger For mums - flowers and heart tag For dads - bottle of their favourite tipple Flower girl - heart tag, thank you teddy Page boy - thank you teddy
It's so far away that this might change but thought i'd post my ideas anyhow!

Weedley Im doing the same with my parents, doing a cross stitch for them each in a 4 window frame from n3xt, one to have the stitch, one for a heart word cloud such as mother/father of the bride, wedding, our names, the wedding date etc (done on an app for the popular touch screen phone!!) another window for a photo of us when I was a child then one left empty for a wedding photo xx

In weddings I've gone to it's common to give gifts to the bridal party and flowers to the MOB & MOG. I could see situations where you might want to give gifts to more people. For example, I'd like to give gifts to those that have provided special help for the day.

My OH's 10 year old sister is being a bridesmaid and I really want to get her a snowglobe with Bridesmaid on it as she loves them. However I have not been able to find one.
I have found one website but its around £90 and I do have a budget for that..
Any suggestions?

I found somethings that might work for you. Normally, I'd post them on your wall. Unfortunately your wall isn't public so I'll put the links on my wall.
CommentAuthorMickaylaH
Thanks for that...
I am still learning to use this and have nothing on my profile due to this lol.
I have seen the photo ones but I am unsure as to what picture I would put in it.. ideally I want one that has a figure in it.
Thank You for your help though I really appreciate it. :D x
CommentAuthorsarah
What kind of figure would you like? Maybe you could get a photo of her and have "world's best junior bridesmaid" & your wedding date? You could maybe do a trail run of her hair and dress and get your picture then.

MickaylaH here's how to make your profile public: UNRESTRICTING YOUR PROFILE: If you want to 'make friends' with fellow members, you will need to 'unrestrict' your profile. You will also need to do this so fellow members can leave helpful links on your wall (as no links are allowed on the forum). How to unrestrict your profile- 1. Go to ‘My wedding’ 2. Scroll down to ‘my details’ 3. Once you have clicked on ‘my details’, scroll down again 4. At the end of this section there will be a drop down box next to ‘privacy settings’ under ‘wall permissions’ 5. Click on the drop down box and select public – people can now post links on your wall and befriend you!

Thank you Sarah.
I was thinking a little ballerina or a teddy bear but I want to be able to personalise it.. That is a good idea though with regards to getting a pic of her when having her hair done.. I may actually do that. I will now unrestrict my wall... :)

When my other half was best man at a wedding last year, the groom gave out ukuleles to him and the 3 ushers - they are all into music - The ukuleles were red (which matched the theme) and the groom had written a little message on the back to each of them - it worked really well, we've even got it on display hung on the wall! I think they got them online for a pretty reasonable price. They only had to buy for the best man, 3 ushers and 1 bridesmaid though so they probably had a little more money to work with than if they'd had pageboys/flowergirls to buy for too.

We're getting everyone (except for mothers) a bit of jewellery to give them on the morning (cufflinks for ushers, best man, my brother and father of the groom) necklace and earrings for the bridesmaids, we would give jewellery to the mothers but they're a little awkward with it, well his mum is, she likes her big costume jewellery... might get them something, but will have to have a think on it really. Would it look weird if they were wearing matching to each other on the day?
We're then getting little gift bags with bits in for the speeches, everyone is getting a little miniature drink in there and then whatever other bits we find for them.
CommentAuthorJR2015
We are getting our bridesmaids (h2b younger sisters who will be age 12 and 14 by the time we get married) personalised silver charm bracelets. We will have paid for their dresses, shoes, accessories etc so Im not planning on spending a fortune on them.
Not sure about best man yet??
Although H2b uncle is making our wedding cake for us (he's a cake maker and is doing it for free) so will need to get him something, but no idea what!!
Are you all giving flowers to the mothers?? This is a bit awkward for us as h2b parents are divorced and he has a stepmother, so if we got flowers for my and his mum we would need to get her some too. Dont know what to do!!

This is what we have gone for;
(6x) Bridesmaids - Necklace, ear rings, bracelet with BM charm, personalised wine glass, photo frame and face pack. Will also be writing them all a personal thank you card
MOB & MOG - Flowers and a personalised glass.
H2b Nanna - Flowers as we received a generous contribution towards our Wedding, it pretty much paid for our venue!
FOB, FOG, Ushers (x3) & Best Man - Personalised Glass with a bottle of their fav drink.

Our usher aftershave arrived today, it is amazing.... it even has a picture of Usher on the box. I love it
CommentAuthorFlossie
At the moment we are thinking:
Bridesmaids - gift bags with bits and bobs inside, including a bracelet or necklace, maybe a small teddy as a momento, a picture of us all together, chocolates and just little bits like that. Flower girl - a teddy with a t-shirt on saying 'thanks for being our flower girl' and the date of the wedding. Best men and my dad - engraved pocket watches. When we have the photos back I want to put a pic of me and my dad in a photo frame saying 'forever your little girl' or something like that, as a late gift. The mums - jewellery
