H2B and I are considering get a honeymoon on a giftlist as we dont want/need house things and thought it was better then just asking for money..at least guests know where the money is going...I was wondering if anyone else is doing this???? and could they recommend any sites to use? or do the know if travel agents have this option??? xx

I dont know what I think Tbh.. If it's what you want then go for it. I wouldn't do it personally, but that's me, so, if it's what you want to do, do it. I haven't got a clue if travel agents do it or not though? x

Yes great idea. Thats what we will be doing. Thomas cook to travel vouchers from as little as £5 that can be put towards your balance of a prebooked holiday OR to be used towards or fully pay for a new booking. Im sure you can use the spare currency too BUT don't quote me.

Me and tom have lived together for 2 years. We have everything we need. I'd like a bigger TV ect but thats cheeky I think. Lol. We will be putting together a little gift list for nice towels and bedding ect and I really want a vase or something to keep so we can look back on our golden wedding anniversary and I can say "Those flowers you bought me are lovely and do you know - the vase was our wedding present. Its lasted as long as we have." lol.

Grandma is also on about giving is a "fat cheque" as a gift too. BUT we are not allowed to know how much for SO we decided instead of going for a honey moon we can afford on a budget now, why not wait and book a late deal to a really luxury resort when we get the cash. No Brainer really.

hi, im in the same situation. We're asking for Thomas Cook vouchers, they used to have a link on their website which allowed you to set up a holiday account, give people the reference number and they can pay into it, but i cant find it anymore. I used to work for Thomas Cook and vouchers can be used against any holiday they sell, however they CANNOT be used against foreign currency so it's worth remembering that! Guest can buy the vouchers in any store and vouchers have no expiry date so holiday can be taken whenever! Debenhams also have something similar on their website and Im sure thomson holidays will offer something similar. Hope that helps xx

we have been thinking about doing this as well, i have asked in a couple of travle agents and they do do it, u can either book a honeymoon and they then give u your account number to put into your invites for people to pay into or u can open an account with out booking a honeymoon people can pay into it the same then u can book the honeymoon after xx
