Hi, I know there is an official thread on this but I've read through it and can't find any ideas that suit my fussy, impossible to buy for h2b!
I want to get him something nice, something special that he can keep. (I'm doing a few little survival style things too) But I have these problems:
- He wears a plastic watch and has a dress watch and tells me he doesn't want any more watches. - He has a stupid amount of cuff links. - He very rarely drinks, only on occasional nights out, then it's beer, nothing spirity. - He doesn't specifically support any sports teams/individuals, despite being a GB triathlete himself. - He doesn't wear jewellery (might not even had a wedding ring) - I am never in a million years going to do a boudoir photoshoot and would hate to give a gift of a photo of myself!
Help! Is there anything special, keepable, that I can get him? I really can't think of anything :(

It sounds like a keepsake isn't the route you should go with your h2b. Does he need anything - new power tools, clothing, shoes... At least it's something he will use and he'll be able to remember why he got it every time he uses the item.

Give him the survival kit on the wedding day then what about an experience that he can have afterwards? Maybe hot air balloon or helicopter ride? Does he like cars - few laps in a super car? Or depending on you having a honeymoon, why not book a surprise for when you're away? Hope this helps xxx

I agree with Bev and Sarah; they seem like the route to go down.

You mentioned for H2B is a triathlete would you consider designing him his own custom running trainers? Nike website allows you to completely customize running trainers. That way it will be a practical useful gift but something you have put time and effort into? Failing that I would go with an experience day! x

Just found a website that does custom tri-suits! He's had his for more than 5 years, so a new one in his favourite colours with his name on could be a good idea! AMAZING idea, thank you so much!!!

I'm also not going down the keepsake route, I bought him a lovely watch when we got engaged...
As he's very in to his mountain biking, I'm thinking of getting him some new gucci kit or new wheels and tyres.
And we lived happily ever after!

H2B is on to me!!! He caught me checking the size of his tri suit. I tried to shrug it off as nothing but he definitely knows I'm getting him one. He doesn't know it'll be a custom made, one of a kind designed by me just for him though :)
