I am not getting married until next October, but I am getting a bit stressed with trying to find affordable dresses for my bridesmaids which are nice.
We are having a blue theme, but colours are either pale or dark, or they are just really expensive. I hear a lot about she who cannot be named, and that people have been very pleased with her work. I am a bit dubious about having dresses made without people being able to try them on with further fitting. Any help/advice?

B*H*S and other home store places like that... the place that has the Ad "This isn't just any ***...This is *&* ***" N3xt and loads of other high street stores.
Plus the bay. You could also look at generic kids clothes as opposed to specific wedding stuff as you're opening up a whole new selection of clothing to choose from with more choice... the wedding stuff caters to the majority who will want white/off white flower girl dresses with a few sash or detail choices and mini versions of the menswear for page boys... Christmas time is a good time to look at kids party clothes too!
And we lived happily ever after!

Nearly mrsfountain I have seen some great ones on that website but looking at reviews a lot of people have said they had to pay import tax which then bumped up the price a lot. can you tell me about your experience?xx

I got mine from China and they are long Grecian style dresses available in all colours and materials, I paid £50each for them and got them a size bigger then what my BM's actually are so I can have the altered to fit them here in the UK. Both dresses are fabulously made and of great quality. It was worth the risk and saved me a few hundered pounds x

look on bay of e, preloved and gumtree...... I got mine (navy) from the bay and paid £40 each for and I couldn't be happier with them! they come in a range of blues too... I did order a size up which im so glad I did...

Thank you NrlyMrsFountain! I have looked at the dresses in B of the H and S but didn't really like the styles, also my local one didn't really have any nice colours. I am a bit dubious about china, but I know that lots of people have had some lovely well made dresses from there. I don't know. Prob going to have to do a lot more research. Thanks for everyone's suggestions!!!
