me and the oh have decided we want to get married in Malta in october 2014, most people have said they are happy to pay and come, we have had to make the decision to go on half term as he has 2 kids (9 and 13) and my best friend is a teacher. We now have people having a moan saying its going to be too busy, we cant afford it ect. including my own mum! I don't know whether to stick with the original plan of doing it at half term or move it to make people happy. help?? its really stressing me out! I just want to get it booked!

Stick to what you and hubby to be have decided on. I had this with my in laws saying the date was appropriate for them sand was too expensive (ours is in wit week end of May) but we have stuck to guns and if people can't afford it they won't come. Al mine are fortunately treating it as a yearly holiday.
All I will say is stick to your guns katie because once you start changing it you will upset others and then yourselves. Wedding never please everyone I have learnt that but all that matters is what you and hubby want chick.
Hope that helps

I agree with these other ladies! Stick to your guns, because you really will end up tying yourself in knots trying to accommodate everyone who thinks their opinion is the most important.
Malta is beautiful! Been there three times in the past 13 years (including this November just passed) and absolutely love it!
Congratulations too by the way!!

Its your big day, so if thats what you want to do then go for it!! You could maybe have a little party when you come back for anyone who couldnt make it? Nothing too expensive, just a little get together when you are back?
