Mmmm not for me as it is the month of March and we have always wanted a summer wedding x

No, I wouldn't - you'd be forever sharing your anniversary with your birthday, and for me, I'd prefer to keep them separate. Your birthday should be about you, and your anniversary about the two of you. My h2b would also think it a great excuse to only buy one present!

We considered it. However it wasn't practical.

Ha, funnily enough Claireclaire, I was born on my parents' first wedding anniversary. I always thought it was a real shame for them both not to have a day to themselves for their anniversary - it was always about me and my birthday.
CommentAuthorJane
it was never something I thought of until we found our dream venue and had no Saturdays avaiable in July, Aug or Sep so we had to agree on a Friday and the only day that really suits is my Birthday 22nd July, my mum and some friends think its a great idea but other friends dont. My h2b thinks its great that he will only have 1 date to remember but assures me my birthday will be extra special every year and always celebrated over more than 1 day!!???

CommentAuthorMrs Badger

We nearly took the date of my birthday actually (someone cancelled and a Saturday came available!!). I'd have considered it but the venue wasn't right in the end, I did think it would be a bit weird though at first! Jane, it's all down to your personal circumstances but we have found that nearly all the guests we have invited are coming to our wedding on a Sunday AND we have the added complication that nearly every one of the guests are having to travel as it's not in either of our home towns AND we've only given people about 3/4 months notice (we only got engaged in December)!!!! We've found that people do make the effort to take off the Monday from work and if you give them notice they won't book holidays which is the reason why only 3 couples can't come!

I'm with the selfish ones here - don't want to share my birthday with my anniversary! lol!
CommentAuthorheidianne
I wouldn't have to apply for late night licence if I got married on my birthday but would you get married on new years day? (which is my birthday)
Tick Tock "why is a raven like a writing desk???"
CommentAuthorLedZepLover
I wouldn't get married on my birthday, just for selfish reasons really! lol. New years day would be impossible to organise! lol. x x x
CommentAuthorheidianne
I know. My H2B said he'd do it though. How cruel is that? But then he changed his mind coz I said if I have to wait that long I could fit in another baby so he said we'd get married in October 2011 instead then we can have another baby. Got him lol

Nah I wanted the wedding to be on the August bank holiday cos it just so happens to be when our anniversary of relationship is but the prices where way too high. A week later and everythings more affordable.
The days are flying by, can't wait :)

wWe are getting married the day before my birthday.... and to be totally honest im glad its not on my birthday ..... i'll get 2 days of being the centre of attention....... jokin i hate being the centre of attention!!!!
We choose the day before as we wanted a summer wedding and knew that all our family would be home from their holidays by then. (my sister in law 2 b is 40 2 days after our wedding and seems to think we picked that date to take the lime light off of her- as she wont be able to have her big 40 party on that saturday night) ........ AS IF.......
