Hey guys! Just joined today . Any help or advice would be great and how to use this site too please.

Im getting married next year 28th november to the man of my dreams :D

We wont have the most expensive wedding and wont get the wedding of our dreams either as we are so skint lol.

The way i think of it, i still get married to my man and have all my friends and family to see it.

We are having alot of help to the wedding, wedding cake is being made by my friend, unfortunatly we are having a finger buffet which is not what i wanted .

Our after wedding is in a free function room in a pub and because its small, some of our guests will not be able to make it.

Our budget is a grand

Congratulations and welcome to the UKBride family. DIY is the way to go when you're working with a tight budget. Could you do a bring and share for the meal, so you can at least have a hot buffet.

A fair number of us are working with mini-budgets, myself included! We will be getting married just after a year of us being engaged. We don't earn much, but through g**gling, bay of e'ing and comparing and good sourcing of all the elements we want, we have managed to get a lot of it for blooming good prices and we aren't overly feeling any strain! The only thing I don't think we are going to be able to pull off is the honeymoon (since we have been waiting on H2B's mum selling our car and it hasn't happened). There is a lot you can do with a buffet, make it as eccentric or as formal as you want, have all your favorites, maybe consider doing it yourselves! Take advantage of the deals in supermarkets for finger foods and freeze them til the day. We will be taking advantage of these bargains for our own day. Have fun with it! I wish I was having a smaller do than we are, but his family seems to be masssssssssive!!!
