Maybe have a look at travel agents that offer wedding package holidays? It might be a good starting point :) Hope you find some inspiration

aww cheers Mrs Broady2b and yeah we had already given thought to having the honeymoon there and asking guest for money towards it... but if we did it i would want 9 members of the family to come with us which they would have to pay for themselves and still would have a party to organise back home for everyone and poss a blessing... just dont know if its too much and im living on cloud 9..hmmm... xxx

now i think even my h2b is really considering the idea... the thought of it just been me and him getting married sounds like a dream and excites the hell out of me but at the same time the thought also is scaring me to death... mmmm its the organising and doing it on our own... dont know where to start.. whats a good deal and what isn't :/

    Hi Jenny,

my (now) husband and I have just returned from New York yesterday after getting married there on Wednesday. It was just us, no family, and was absolutely amazing! It was really easy and straight forward to plan. The basic costs for us were:
£1700 for 7 nights at a hotel at Times square - the hotel was amazing
£600 for the photographer (2 hours of photos)
    £400 for the officiant (registrar)
    £20 for the wedding licence
£1150 for return flights from Manchester
£200 for a dinner/dance cruise around Manhattan in the evening.
We spent about £2000 on going out/shopping/entertainment - we did splash out a bit, so you could do this cheaper.

So all in all it was about £6000 for a marriage and honeymoon in NYC. These costs did not include my dress/rings/suit etc. We did ask for spending money as a wedding gift from everyone, and we are having a party this saturday to celebrate.

I have loads I can tell you, so please ask away!
