We went to see h2b's dad yesterday, just a quick hello as he was going for a run, and he pulled h2b to one side, I thought he was getting a telling off!
Got back in the car and h2b told me his dad was giving us £1000 towards the wedding, he text h2b this morning and told him to check the bank, now as I look after the money, I had his bank card, checked the bank and he's put £2000 in there!!!!!!
Cannot believe it!! His dad isn't the most fatherly so we didn't expect anything at all. And to now have £2000 to pay deposits is an absolute dream!!! Soooo thankful to him!! Xx

We are so grateful. We were starting to panic about saving and the amount we'd need to save to pay deposits etc. and now because of his dads generosity we don't have to worry quite so much. It's in the savings and we can add to it every month :) xx

Definitely. We're expecting help from my parents because they've said they'll help, but not from his. Certainly not his mum, because she's not in the position to help right now but she'll be very hands on.
If anything we thought his dad would be disapproving because he's the youngest child and the only one to be getting married as yet, we're going to take it as his seal of approval and his way of saying that he's proud of h2b xx

wow, lush, wish my h2bs parents would do, that they keep on saying they will give us money towards the wedding, but my guess is we will have to ask every time we need some.

It's changed my opinion of his dad for sure. He lives in a half a million pound house, mortgage free and we've struggled at times and he hasn't helped and now we really need it for something worthwhile and something thats so life changing, we know why he hasn't helped us an awful lot in the past. It's nice to know that people are willing to help you and it means we can spend that little bit more on the special touches :) xx
