Goodness I've had one crazy morning!

It's really breezy outt here today with us. Sun is shining brightly now with clear blue skies so think the third laundry load could go on.

Spuds and mince cooking whilst I grab lunch, getting a tad tired from the lack of sleep last night so hopefully I can get a good sleep in a bit. Want to make sure everything is done today before I nap or it won't get done!

Floss we got in the car this morning and it was beeping to tell us it was 4 degrees not seen that for a while xx

It's proper windy here, got really dark earlier and chucked it down with rain, now it's bright and sunny.

GF you just reminded me I need to get laundry on. Basket is full and hubby put swimming stuff straight into the washing machine.

Aww bless him PP, it's good that it's the first time he's cried, I think ours cried for the first 2/3 nights pretty much none stop lol.

Tomato soup and oatcakes for me! Yummy though and perfect in this weather!

That is dinner all sorted for tonight, just needs cooking in the oven, veg prepared as well. Did think about popping it in the slow cooker but one it is too late, and two I've never done a cottage pie in the slow cooker, but have seen somewhere you can do it. Now to iron the school stuff, will iron the trousers wet and hang them up.

Text hubby earlier to ask if step son was staying tonight, he said he most likely is but would check, I said it was only because I needed to know for the meals and when to do what for and what to buy, still no answer back from him and this was first thing this morning. GRRR

Oh dear I can hear the wind and rain from in here, the storm is definitely not going away!!

Ooooh that sounds yummy Emmilou, I have food envy! We're having tuna pasta bake tonight, just something quick and easy as don't have lots of time.

I love Tuna Pasta bake.... Im lazy though and usually buy the ready meal from the big yellow supermarket!

Id have them everyday if i could get away with it!

Ohhhh, Tuna pasta neopolatana or something like that!!! I used to make that all the time. I might get one next week and make a batch for work.... Mmmmmm

Had some soup for dinner as out for tea tonight.

I'm so tired, really struggling to work today. The last three days we've had workmen in so I've had to be up and dressed by eight, even though I'm not in work until ten and don't need to be up normally until just before nine. I could really have done with getting to bed before midnight the last couple of nights. At least tomorrow isn't so bad, I've got rehearsal for the nativity but I don't need to be there until 12:00 and it's right across the road.

EC I think a lot of names can be shortened or adapted to create a nickname of sorts.. ultimately though it's very rude if other people shorten a name without permission. It would be up to babba what they want to be called when they get older.

At parents evening last night, my sons teacher kept shortening his name to Will.... I hate it. I sometimes call him Wills but not very often.

I said 'His name is William, thank you'

I bet he thought blooming heck, who let her in!!!! lol

I much prefer Em to Emma and people just kind of presume and call me Em which I don't mind at all but my mum hates her name being shortened, her name is Sharon but people always call her Shaz and she hates it haha! I guess you just never know so should probably check lol.

You don't need my permission haha, I don't mind when people say Em so don't expect people to ask, but I know a few people that do, like my mum haha!

William doesnt mind its just me and his dad that dont like it lol

My brother is called Paul, but all his friends and his wife call him Sy. When we call him Paul, his friends never know who we are referring to. Bizarre story, but the nickname Sy cames from silage when he was on a school trip visiting a farm. The last edge sounding part is same as our surname hence Sy! Told you it was strange!!
