Enjoy your last day at work Emma!
I am dancing as usual tonight but have dropped the first 2 classes and just going to do the 1 class at the moment. They've put the prices up and whilst they've not increased THAT much it still soon all adds up when you have to pay for 6 weeks at a time in advance :(

The last time I seen the bride at a family party she completely blanked me and didn't even make an effort to say hello! which I found incredibly rude so from them ive had a dislike of her xx

I will probably end up doing them again a lot sooner than that as will miss it, but spent quite a lot this month on wedding stuff so realistically couldn't really afford it. After the wedding I am doing loads more classes!!! xx

Id have two, lol the amount of stuff we need to do or are planning to do is all money money money, kids want school meals but can't afford for them to have them all the time so they have then once a week as a treat. I want to decorate the house and do the garden, saving for wedding and to take kids on holiday, what we get in a month between us both after bills are paid doesn't leave a lot to save atm. OH doing as much overtime as possible but doesn't make much difference really. X

I know what you mean Pinky! It does depress me sometimes that we both work full-time jobs that aren't badly paid but still can't afford to do so many things that we want to do! We're never OTT with anything and always look to do things as cheaply as possible but somehow there is still hardly any money left over for us. Makes you wonder what the point is!? xx

Don't get me started on people claiming benefits that get all that! My neighbours who we don't get on with don't work yet get everything new, deliveries every day ( no lie) a car each ,newly done garden, now decorating house, new designer clothes. Yet their kids are vile. Harsh I no but their youngest has just started school this yr and plays out front which is quite a busy rd alone swearing and screaming running along our driveway scratching ours and another neighbours car yet nothing said, yet I have a quiet word about a dog they were looking after yapping all night and I get slagged off and stuff put on fb about me for it. Grrrrrrr. I don't work atm as I don't drive and no work in school time round here but that winds me up big time.

Sounds horrendous Pinky Pie - I am surprised you've not snapped. Things like that make me so angry. My cousin's partner has 8 kids - all dressed in designer clothes, have holidays to Mexico and USA - the list just goes on and on. We are having to reign in our wedding spending as we want to ensure we have enough for our dream honeymoon. Everything is so expensive, so I am trying to save money where I can.
In all honesty, glad it's Friday today as it's been a pretty long working week, although have two very long meetings at work this afternoon from 2pm until 5pm where I'll probably come away with 100s of action points.

Tbh Lindsey I let them get on with it, the whole family is known for being the same. I tell my kids to ignore the filth that come from their mouths, when their boys climb our fences I just tell them to get down if they're not willing to pay when they break it, I normally get told to f**k off but they get down,as much as I'm tempted to push them.lol I have a lot of patience aswell which helps,a few years ago I would have snapped and got myself into trouble but I look at them and think to myself your not worth my time they're an embarrassment to themselves, hopefully they move soon as they've 3 kids (2boys 1 girl) in a 2 bed house.wishful thinking.......

this Indian wedding is just the people at work no other halfs so hubby was a bit peed off cos he wanted to go. We think the wedding all in all has cost over a £100,000 plus which I think is a obscene amount to spend but its over 4 days they get married tomorrow in the temple and have a big reception on Sunday there is a marque in the grounds of their house for tonight!!!!
CommentAuthorPinky Pie
Wow that is an extreme amount to spend on a wedding even if over 4 days x

Ridiculous amount of money but I think indian weddings are generally big and expensive, and it's usually the parents who pay! They're used as a sign to show how wealthy you are I think! xx

Yep its the brides parents that are paying they own our company. That including a couple of trips to India for her wedding sari and a wedding dress (English)for the sunday I think Pam (the bride's mum) said the trip to India just after Christmas had cost in the region of £15,000 I think its stupid especially when they are moving in with his parents cos they can't afford a house could have used the money spent on the wedding!!!

by the way Daddy is a millionaire a couple of times over they are minted as my son would say lol

I think Indian weddings are generally pretty extravagant affairs. There are so many different ceremonies and the clothes have to be so lavish. I suspect there is a lot of pride involved in producing the perfect Asian wedding.

MrsWade2B I think your husband needs to take a week off work and have your son all that time. One day probably isn't enough to get a proper taste of what it's like looking after a toddler. After a week he'll want to go back to work for a rest.

Our wedding venue has the suite where we had our day, and another huge huge ballroom. It is favoured in the area for Asian weddings as it can accommodate so many people! We have seen it all dressed and set up before and it was quite a sight!

Japan is a bit like that as well I think. There are a lot of yen to the pound. I remember my dad going to Estonia and saying he felt ridiculously rich. Even in Poland when I visited and it was 5 zloti to the pound, I felt rich.
