It seems as though every day is something nowadays... even silly things like national pizza day and stuff! I remember World Book Day when I was little but it was never a big thing like it seems to be now - we certainly never got to dress up and go to school!!

Can you pay them monthly Michelle to spread the cost? I always paid my car insurance in full but for the past few years I've been paying monthly. Not paying car tax atm but I was paying that monthly too - only added an extra £9 onto the cost for the whole year for doing so which I thought was worth it!

I pay both tax and insurance monthly, it's much more manageable. Before that became an option it used to be a real struggle, as I also had them close together. I used to find it awkward renewing tax online as well, as the insurance policy changed over at the same time and the system couldn't find the new policy straight away. I ended up doing a six month tax to shift them so they didn't land together, but then couldn't afford to pay a year at a time so kept doing six months and kept meeting the same problem. Thank goodness both can now be done monthly.

My colleague just overheard me talking to the CD cases that I was repairing. When parts of the case break I replace them with new ones, and I was saying "now what's wrong with you, oh I see, that's easy to sort". She said when I start talking to myself it's time to go on maternity leave. I pointed out I wasn't talking to myself I was talking to the CDs, but she said it's the same thing. I'm not convinced, I think it's totally different to talk to inanimate objects, and perfectly normal. I do talk to myself as well, but that's a different story. She's not one to talk anyway, she's always talking to her work. I think that's part of it, I've clearly been working with her for too long.

I pay for ours annually. I like to know they are done and paid for and then don't have to worry about it. I did consider OHs tax in monthly as it was the same overall cost but I thought if we have the cash spare I'd prefer to do it up front

My moh came round earlier on for a bit, the myself and hubby popped to the shop to try and get the rest of the stuff needed for the shopping, got most of it apart from duck breast and hoisin sauce, normally they have loads of that.
Just showered and got dressed for work, hubby is at my sister's as her boiler is messing about. As soon as he is back I shall do ours, we are having peri peri rice with garlic prawns.

Big hugs Emily, I hope it passes soon. Maybe hiding under the duvet is what you need to do. Perhaps if eating is a struggle just nibbling on small things might be a better option, rather than trying to manage a full meal in one go.

Evening ladies.
Didn't come on here last night as I had a meltdown over work with workload and feeling like I just can't deliver on everything. New colleague also complaining about same thing and other colleagues also worried. Same usual issues. I hate not delivering on everything that's needed, I've been told to just push back and say no but I don't like doing that. Reality is this is a 3 person job. I just want to quit.

Thanks everyone for your posts regarding my mum.. I am sure she'll be fine given time. They've been very on/off for the past couple of years - he shouldn't have been given another chance last time so I truly hope that's it now and he won't come running back again... or if he does, I hope she tells him where to go!!! She will get back on the dating wagon no probs, she's always been a fan of online dating and has met loads of people that way. FIngers crossed she finds her special someone :-)

Morning all. I had a horrible journey into work today. Rain was terrible. I looked and felt like a drowned rat. Was so cold.
IDL you need to say no and get in control of things. It's terrible that it's affecting your health. You need to look after yourself and not worry about everyone else for a little while. Sounds selfish but you will do yourself more harm than good if not xx

I've just been having a shop round for contents insurance. Found a good one with Sw1nt0ns through Qu1dc0 - will cost me £88 for the year, will get £35 cashback from Sw1nt0ns and then £30 cashback from Qu1dc0 themselves - seems a bit of a no brainer! Love cashback :-)

Almost all of your money back! Definitely worth doing! I should really change ours, I've just stayed with the same company since we moved in and let it renew each year but I'm sure there are better deals out there!

I hardly ever just let it renew - even if you pay the same price somewhere else, there are loads of cashback deals about on Qu1dc0 and t0pc@shb@ck which is definitely worth doing. The only problem is you do eventually start to run out of companies to use as the cashback is normally for new customers only, so you can't go back to someone you've already been with before! I will definitely make the most of it whilst I can though!

Morning ladies
We're having a PJ day today (me and the little one that is) as I am feeling rubbish. I don't know what I've been in contact with but I've woken up this morning with an allergy rash (sore angry papules) on my face, mainly around my mouth - really hate having such sensitive skin. I've only just got rid of a rash on my back and shoulder from the last reaction!
I've had a cold for the last month which won't be helping (it starts clearing up then comes back).
Just really fed up of feeling and looking like c***

Morning ladies Woke this morning to a covering of snow outside!! The rain has now sorted that out though lol. My oldest daughter having a tough time atm, she's had to have her beloved dog PTS as he was getting very aggressive towards people and tried to attack her Sunday, vets are thinking a brain tumour is the cause. Been chatting to her on sk/pe but it's hard as she's sooo upset and I can't give her a hug ( she's living with her dad) hopefully college and work will take her mind off it a bit. That's such a shame PP. It's horrible losing pets. I can't believe how quickly the pregnancy has gone, when I first found out it seemed like it would be forever. My colleague just pointed out that I finish work two weeks tomorrow. It's actually another two and a half weeks before maternity leave starts, as we have the Easter weekend and then I am using up annual leave, but still scary to think that I'm at that point. My cover starts on Monday, so I've been listing all the things that I need to show her before I go. The poor girl isn't going to know what's hit her, I've been surprised by how many things I do outside of covering the issue desk and processing new stock.
