Wow. Every time I looked to remortgage I looked at their products as I bank with them but their rates I find are quite high compared to other banks.
Have to say .................I know people would like interest rates to be higher for their savings but it's great for the mortgage so it can stay low as far as I'm concerned.

I think mines about 2.8% too lindsey it's crazy .. We can definitely afford it just need to decide if it's worth it.. It doesn't really have a drive, no garage either in the plus side it's number 45 and my grandad lives at 34 so really close! Literally over the road and up a few .. Think we'll have to move fast if we want it

Plus it has an open plan kitchen that we could make into a big kitchen diner but it only has windows at the back so I'd want to put French doors in rather than going out the side and through the back gate everytime so there's another cost ...
Will have to weigh up the pros and cons of the work that needs doing especially when there's houses with drives garages and three bedrooms for cheaper

We're paying 1.99% above base so think it's 2.49% at the moment as we have a lifetime tracker, it was fee free too so didn't cost a penny to set it up.

Birmingham I thought would be expensive because it's a city.
I can totally see why people retire further away in the Midlands and up North. Much better cost of living, more bang for your buck, I mean it's not like our income in the South is way more than outside of the region.

I have an old uni friend who years ago bought a row of 3 houses, each was 33k so bought 3 houses for 99k, spent about £50k knocking through and now has an amazing hiuse with a party room cellar- we thought he was mad at the time- this is in West Yorkshire though

Lol, nothing to do with Towie I don't think, it's basically because the more expensive London becomes the more people move slightly further out so all the counties neighbouring our capital are experiencing house prices shooting up.

Ummm, no wonder they have no money, not everyone in London eats out all the time, can't afford it lol, I know loads of people who actually live in London as I work there and I can categorically say eating out is probably a once a week affair, sometimes twice.
People in London do cook, you're friends obviously hang out with people who are super rich lol.
I agree though that hours are long, boy do I suffer with that.
