Not used to the steering being so light especially when reversing and parking... that might take some getting used to but otherwise it's been really easy to get used to driving it :-)

Yes, I think the combination of the two is more of a problem. They weren't immediately worried, they did a growth scan on Wednesday and found that most measurements were spot on or within about a week and a half of my dates, but the head was at 36 weeks (I was 32 + 4). The midwife did say though that she couldn't be 100% as he was making it difficult to get accurate measurements (he's never cooperated with scans). They're rechecking after two more weeks, partly to see if he turns and partly to see if the head is still significantly bigger. If they were concerned they'd see me sooner. Overall his size is under the top line of what they'd consider normal so they aren't too worried. His weight is about 4.5lb which made me laugh as I was less than that when I was born (I was a twin born at 35 weeks). Personally I'd rather an early inducement and normal delivery than a C-section, but obviously if his position is adding to the problems it might not work out. We'll see, I've just got to the point in my pregnancy book where it talks about ways to persuade the baby to turn on his own.

Glad to hear you are getting on good with the new car Flossie. And the brakes, just a tip and they work, also hubby is bad for it, but he thinks the gears are hard to get into so is rough with them when they just Slide into gear easily

When I was learning I remember my instructor switched from a car without power steering to one with it. I'd only had a few lessons but I still really noticed the difference and was over-steering for quite a while. Now I don't think I'd cope without it. My brother had an experience once where the power steering failed and he said it was a nightmare driving his car.

The kids had a takeaway for dinner, we were good and had another j wicks meal, tonight was steak with creamy mushroom sauce and spinach, with added black pudding and grilled cherry tomatoes.

We spent ages wandering around to find somewhere to eat tonight. The place we normally go was packed, and the nearest pub had stopped serving. We tried down one road and found nothing, so headed back to a different road where we knew there were pubs. Fortunately one of them was still serving, but only for another ten minutes so we got in just in time.

GF I don't think there was anything special going on tonight, there were just a couple of big groups. I was actually quite relieved in some ways that the second place wasn't serving, as much as I didn't want to wander far there was a singer who was far too loud, and we had to yell to hear each other. The third place we tried was much more pleasant.

Morning all,

Been awake since about 430am, gave up just after 5 and got up. Just having another cuppa and then might see if I can get an hour on the sofa. Then hoping to get all the laundry done today so that I can iron the school stuff today so tomorrow I don't have to do anything,

Hope the suit fitting goes well.

Our groomsmen have got theirs today at 1. OH has asked me to go with them too

I'm going to ask if our LO can try a suit on today. That's if he's not asleep by then lol.

Think I can safely say my fbit is lost, my son has not told me he's found it at his, hubby did say he would buy me a new one though.

Did lay on the sofa for a bit and think I may have dozed off for a minimal time, but felt better after just laying there for a bit.

Had a look through J Wicks book for next week's menu.

We've enjoyed this week's menu that we have done from it. They are nice meals and very quick to make. I literally make the kids their dinner, whilst they are eating I start on ours and it's done by the time they finish. It's no bother doing them a meal and us.

We were surprised the first one we done, it was so filling, last night we done steak with creamy mushroom sauce and spinach. Was lovely. That's one of my faves from this week. Tonight we are doing the broccoli, asparagus with bacon and eggs.

That's what I did, then because I was feeling lazy, I sat online and done the shopping and ticked I off as I went.

I hope he enjoys it GF. I've only once been to a match, when Newcastle were playing on my younger brother's 18th birthday. Thankfully they wine, although it was 2-1 and they scored all three goals. They're playing Southampton's near rivals Bournemouth today, who my husband supports, so that could be fun. However I think even he is hoping for a Newcastle win, they need it so desperately.

Definitely a good idea to keep quiet. My brothers went to Leeds against Newcastle at the Leeds ground (we lived in Yorkshire and a friend had got the tickets), and they were surrounded by Leeds fans. At the end when Newcastle won others in the same boat suddenly became noticeable. It was a while ago though, it's a long time since Leeds were in the premier league.

Got all the cleaning and laundry to do today but no energy.

I've managed to clean both upstairs bathroom and en suite. Bleach is now down the downstairs wc. Kitchen is spotless, dishwasher is on. Just need to clean downstairs wc soon then laundry can go on whilst I'm taking a shower and washing my hair thenitll be ready to hang once I'm sorted.

Got lots of baking to do too today for mothers day. Bought flowers this morning whilst picking up bits in w@1tr053 after exercise class. Can't decide whether to cook tonight or takeaway.

we are off to my sister and bil tonight for dinner and our other friends will be there as well looking forward to it we always have a laugh.

My boys are taking us out tomorrow for lunch cos its mothers day

Well I'm over the moon today I sat on my horse today for the first time in 8months! He was an absolute angel!



I've also been to 2 wedding fairs and had a call to say my wedding dress has arrived!going to go try it on on Thursday and make final decisions about the lace hem!

GF that sounds like a very good way to spend a Saturday night. We had the option of going to a choral concert but decided against, given that we were out last Saturday and have two services tomorrow.

I am so annoyed right now. My son's room is never normally spotless, however it was not too bad yesterday, the floor was fairly clear. I went up there at dinner time tonight for some reason and walked in to a mess. He had a giant Spider-Man we got him at the festival one year, and the insides started coming out so he put it into a bin bag, well they decided to empty it on the floor, then covered it with a double duvet to hide it. Just been up here and cleaned it all up. Annoyed does not even cover it.

OH is in bed trying to get a couple of hours kip before going on the railway tonight.

LO & I have just done his homework but we are sooo tired we clash terribly!!

I can't wait for bedtime lol
