Morning all....

Monday again! I slept really well last night and so far so good today. I don't feel too bad

Need to get all the laundry put away tonight and have a bit of a clean up but we are having our teeth whitened so won't have much time. It means I can't smoke for a minimum of 12 hrs which I'm not impressed with but I'll deal with it lol

Where you having that done Em? Is it expensive? I'd like mine doing X

Got a big clean up to do this week as its LO birthday on Saturday and having a bbq for him after taking him to the local miniature railway. I hope it's warm and dry. Last year it was lovely and warm but not holding my breath

Got the food shop to do aswell and bridesmaid alterations this afternoon. Busy, busy

Slept pretty well last night but have woken with a major twitchy Eye, it feels like I'm winking at everyone,

I need to move my rear end and do the hoovering and pop into town, just enjoying the chill time today, off to Southamtpon tomorrow to shop for my daughter as its her birthday a week in Saturday and won't have time before to do it

Been enjoying the sunshine, it's lovely, just a shame it won't last

Hopefully I'll cheer up a bit tonight. Had an amazing day yesterday at the G00dw00d f35t1va1 of 5p33d.

My best mate and her man are coming over tonight for junk food and watch England hopefully win and get into the quarter finals.

I have strong belief that as a country we're better in, influencing from within rather than not having a seat at the table. It's not a perfect system but no system is perfect and I think being in was better than out. Yes it has its faults but there are a lot of benefits to being part of it - social and economic. I won't go into details here as I'll be on it forever but I just have some strong feelings.

To top it off as soon as I saw the result Friday morning I also saw some really racist comments being made that were rather strongly worded which made me cry. I'm not English, Scottish, Welsh or Irish. I'm the daughter of immigrants as are many of my friends so those comments really hit me hard.

Hi all. Haven't been on much. Been busy working, I start a mix of days and nights this week. Hate that.

My nephew is home from America so taking him bowling tomorrow, hopefully he enjoys it

I'm annoyed about result too. I'm worried about how it may affect us getting a mortgage. And also hope it doesn't affect our unsocial hours pay as our pay would be so crap without it

OMG, lost to Iceland. But you know what they played ace and have done so well so far, they so deserve it. Let's go get some Skyr.

Hubby voted out, he does not know why really, he done it as a few of his friends wanted out.

Tell me about it. This month I had a good pay as I had three weeks of nights last week, it's made a huge difference to my pay packet, I said to hubby in the morning after the referendum, well you just think about where you put your cross when my wages go down because I do not get any enhancements for working nights etc. He had nothing to say to that.

Well i couldnt sleep last night so i decided to crack on with making my 17th century riding skirt ready for this weekend.
Started with 6.6m of fabric and cartridge pleated it (by hand) down to 85cms. I started at 7pm, finished pleating at 12.30am

Then i sewed it onto the waist band, 2 stitches per pleat again all by hand. it took hours! Finished at around 3.30am
It looks fab so far

Only 1 seam, the hem at the bottom and a button hole to do this evening

Its my first ever attempt at cartridge pleating or making clothing!

We had our teeth done last night and mine went 10 shades whiter, OHs went 8.

I couldn't smoke for a bare minimum of 12 hrs and I managed to last 17 so not too bad....

Very strict diet for 48hrs which is crippling me:

Tea, coffee, fizzy drinks, coloured foods, veg, semi skimmed milk...... Blah blah blah

It's easier to say what you can have!

Skimmed milk, white pasta, white rice, cauliflower, potato (no skin), water, vodka, white wine, chicken (dry or boiled), white fish, banana

That's brilliant Emma! Not sure if even I could cope with that diet!

I have accepted verbally. Feel so guilty doing it but if the other job doesn't come up then I would happily take it. Expecting a call regarding the second interview this afternoon so hopefully will know more after then.

Feels so normal living just the 2 of us and like our home already. Helps that I had the candles etc out on the first night!
Fridge should arrive Friday and then just need to wait for the sofas but once we have that it will be pretty much there.
Still no idea how I want my craft room. I'm thinking quite bright and quirky at the moment but will wait and see.

Yeah, it is so lovely. While I was in my interview yesterday he went out shopping an got some bits and pieces for the house. Feels like we are now spending a fortune on little bits..

Haha I hope we are more organised by 4 years time!
My aunt was brilliant with 0x0 cubes and things like that. She took me to the green supermarket a week before we moved in and spent a fortune on the standard things that you need. Got flour, salt, vinegar, timed tomatoes, herbs, seasoning. Basically everything you will need in the kitchen which isn't perishable. Even crisps and cling film bless her!

Coffee through a straw is amazing lol... The diet won't last long I assure you ha ha ha
