Morning ladies..... I'm so cold this morning I could hardly get out of bed. It feels like winter



Busy day tomorrow. Got to fetch LOs eldest up from Middlesborough then we are going to Whitby for fish and chips then back home again. I'm looking forward to seeing her. She's my other BM so be nice to talk properly with her. She's 11 but it's like talking to a 16 year old. She's lovely x

TGIF! It's pay day!

I wish it was payday for me.... I've still got 2 weeks left and it's the dreaded first of the month tomorrow.... Bills bills and more bills

I had a great sleep last night I was so tired and I didn't wake once! Almost the weekend yay, im off in town later its my aunties bday on Sunday so off to get her pressie and pick up flower girls baskets! pooch is at the groomers tomorrow and Sunday were off for a meal for aunties bday! ive also got housework and shopping to fit in too, busy one for me what about the rest of you? xx

Morning all. Completely knackered today and feel like poop - felt a bit rough anyway yesterday but now the lack of sleep has made it worse. Was up at 3am cleaning up Oscar's sick and he now also has it coming out the other end as well as vomiting... so several trips into the garden. These tablets he's on now are supposedly meant to be settling his stomach but he's now the worse he's been. OH isn't going into work today so he can stay home with him, he's not himself at all and technically hasn't really eaten for a week now as he's been chucking everything back up every day. OH going to the vets this morning and going to tell them we do not want him on any more medication whilst he's so poorly, just not fair on him as it's taking so much out of him. He really feels sorry for himself today :(

Oh no Flossie, hope he is better soon and back to his usual self.

Thanks ladies. Just seems bizarre to me that they wanted to try the anti-inflammatory tablets again so soon when he has been so poorly on them. And for tablets that are supposed to settle his stomach... well, they clearly do not work!!

HIs limp has become less of a concern now which was the initial problem, at least he was still himself and happy! Now he's just very poorly and completely not himself.. didn't even get a tail wag when I came down this morning and he's usually bouncing with excitement :(

Nothing worse than seeing them ill, Leo suffers from a sensitive tummy andhas now had 2 urine infections and I can tell straight away when there a touch of something, he is the same no tail wagging and not excited and its just nice to see! I really hope the vet can do something for him today and get your doggy back to himself xx

Yeah I think either problem would show on a scan, if they can tell what it is by looking and examining him then they need to look further into it, hopefully that's the next step! He could be allergic to something in the medicine and its just totally upset his tummy, I agree that id want him off the tablets too to allow it to settle or they will need to find an alternative xx

Hope the vets can sort Oscar out Floss :( My bunny had something stuck in his mouth yesterday and he was desperately trying to tell me, kept sticking his tongue out and scrabbling at it. He got it though and seems fine today :)

Everyone is still in bed at the moment, I've been up for a while and now want to get on and do a few things around the house, and it best be like it when I come home from work.

OH is making the most of the start of his time off - not needed in work today so hes back in bed lol!! xx

OH just text me, they just weighed Oscar and he has lost 2kg since they weighed him last week xx

Oh no Flossie, at least when you know that all the work relies on you you can get it sorted but waiting on others!! GRRR!!

Oh my goodness on Oscar, what are they going to do about it? Surely they should be doing something more now, that is a lot of weight, is he dehydrated, wondering if they would need to pop a drip in him for 24 hours.

Flossie, that's a lot of weight poor thing, it could be that the tablets might not of been the issue, he might of just picked up a bug and the tablets appeared to be the problem, so the tests will hopefully find out what the problem is, poor boy hope he's better quickly xx

It is the best place for him just horrible knowing he's there on his own and will be on his own overnight too :( OH just phoned me, apparently he lost his cool with the vet as she kept questioning him which came across like she thought he was lying about how bad Oscar had been! She kept saying like are you sure he hasn't eaten anything and kept it down? OH said well I think I'd know, I'm the one who's been cleaning up his sick every day and he's lost 2kgs so clearly he's not been eating properly?!

Baaaaah. Really can't be bothered with anything today now, just wanna go home and curl up :( xx

Looks like that's our weekend plans down the pan as well as if he's ready to come home tomorrow we won't be wanting to leave him on his own. Not that that's the most important thing, but annoying :( we are meant to be going to a wedding reception tomorrow evening and spending the day with my family from Nottingham on Sunday xx

We did think about that IF they wanted to keep going with the tablets. But now they're taking steps to understand why he is being so sick and poorly we're ok with that for now. Will wait and see what they recommend as a next step after that xx

Aww hope Oscar recovers very soon Flossie! Like you said, at least they are finally taking steps to understand why he's ill tho it's still bad that they didn't do other checks sooner I think! Sending hugs xx

It's not worth not insuring dogs now; my mum wasn't going to insure our first puppy but I talked her round and its a good job! Even him ripping his few claw off cost us nearly £300 to have it removed and painkillers because he's was screaming like a baby!

We didn't even think twice about insuring Ozzy with him being an Alsatian we're worried he might get hip problems when he's older and we want to be able to afford the best care if anything like that ever happens.. We've got him swimming like a trooper now so that should help prevent it but it's still common

At least you know Oscar can be given any treatment regardless of cost to make him better :) x

Is that Friday next week Flossie? This colleague sounds like a right pain in the behind! We've had one call in sick today - shes had a row with her partner and now her tummy hurts so shes not here which is causing more stress on the rest of us lol xx
