I washed mine this morning. Rush job though before work. Currently having my hair played with by my boy, it's lovely as he runs his fingers through my scalp.

Well I tried to do a pregnancy test this morning, but I couldn't grt enough going to get a good supply on the stick. When I finally got it I just got an error message. It does say I can test any time of day, so I might try the other one later on when I've drunk a little bit at least. Otherwise I'll get a container to pee in and try again tomorrow.

It's so frustrating. I was awake really early waiting to do it, and after the build up I couldn't get it right. I should have had a drink last night. I bet men don't have this problem, they can just point and shoot.

Hubby was late going into work today. Not sure why, whether he fell back to sleep after his alarm or what. He came to say goodbye to me and said it was 830 and I had a cuppa sat on the side for me. Not sure how long it was there though as by the time I got to drink it it was luke warm. Nice thought though. I could have put it in the microwave but drank it quick instead.

Then I remembered that my youngest is going on a trip to Southampton today with her friend and Mum so had to make sure she was up.

Need to phone S Water today for my huge refund.

I'm not feeling tooooo bad just still worrying about Oscar, money, etc.... Oscar is not too bad, he's okay in himself just got a sore paw and a cone round his head to stop him licking it - he keeps walking into everything lol.

Annoyed with the vets though. Oscar wouldn't let us look at his paw at all which is why we took him to the vets. They said they couldn't see anything... which makes me laugh that they then presumed it was an allergy and were willing to charge us £500 odd for tests and allergy injections. OH had a look this morning whilst he was cleaning Oscar's paw and there is puss between his toes (do dogs have toes? You know what I mean!). Might be that he has a grass seed in there or something but if we keep washing it then hopefully it will come out and the infection will go down.

Really peed off with our vets, just seems like they want to do whatever they can to make more money without actually thinking what's best for the dog. Think we are going to change vets after all this!

I would Flossie, we changed our vets a few years ago. One of our cats were really pooley and at the time I couldn't drive to take her to our usual vets so I carried her up to the local one and they were fantastic. Discussed absolutely everything with us before made any decisions. We now only go to this new one.

They've given him some special allergy shampoo which we are using to wash his paw every day. Might suggest to OH that we use salty water as well as I think it's probably more likely to be a grass seed now than an allergy.

He is also on steroids, not too sure why.....

We were discussing vets at work the other day. The Housekeeper said about one to the hearing lady and I said about the one I go to. They said they heard good things about them. The one I used to be with was horrid and very rude, which is what the hearing lady was saying about them as well. When the ex left me, he left me with a vet bill, because all post was coming through in his name and I kept the dog, I never knew until I took the cats there to get done which I had vouchers for from the cats protection. They said unless this bill was paid they'd refuse to do my animals. Fortunately I had the money to pay it, paid it, got the cats done and never ventured through their doors again.

It makes you wonder if they are doing it just to get money from you. That's bad. My vets don't do that, they are brilliant. When the cat had an abscess naturally they gave him antibs, with the rabbit, they gave her stuff but when I took her back they never charged me as it was about the same issue originally seen for.

That's awful Flossie, we had the same with our cat when he had a poorly eye. Our original vets were adamant it was an ulcer on his eye of some sort even though it didn't have the right properties and he had no other symptoms, but they did an operation anyway and charged us hundreds but it still didn't get better. They then suggested an operation to remove his eye! We ended up going to a different vets for a second opinion and they sent us straight to a specialist who fixed it with just some eye drops. Now he has a scar on his eye from the first operation which was totally unnecessary! xx

I changed Leo's vet a few months ago flossie the last vet started to annoy me and it's like they were doing tests for the sake of it now I'm much happier with the new vet, hope Oscar is better soon though, Leo had a irritation on his back leg a few weeks ago I cleaned it with salty water and in a day he stopped licking, he had a red swollen bit because he had licked it so much but it got better fast we also considered his come collar from his op but didn't need to use it, if he hadn't stopped the licking I would of had him right to vet too xx

Sorted out my credit on the water company, almost £600 coming back to my account, the electric/gas send it back in a cheque but they send it back into my account it came from. Also dropping my payments as seems ludicrous I am in credit as the last bill was over £300 in credit still.

    Nice one GF!

If it just looked sore we wouldn't have bothered with the vets and would have tried to heal it with salt water, but he was really struggling to walk on it and kept lifting up his paw so because he seemed in quite a bit of pain we thought we'd better take him in. Can't believe they "couldn't see anything" though and then just presume it to be something that it might even not be! Shocks me that they are so happy to put all sorts of medication into them, take bloods, do all sorts of tests etc. willy nilly without even being sure about what the problem is.
