I am waiting to do majority of it on Friday, mainly because of my pay day, but when my cheque cleared the other day I had to get a few bits that I knew would not be in black friday

Michelle that's awful! How could you do that to your parents!

GF - how about a nice scarf?

I slept ok last night. Didn't want to get out of bed which is a nice change.

I have a secret that we aren't telling any of our families but I think I can tell you. We are looking now to buy a house :) OH called the bank yesterday and set up a phone apt with the mortgage advisor yesterday for 9.30 this morning. I am so excited. We aren't in the financial position we wanted to be in and will have a fair amount of wedding savings to do but we need our own space. Now just fingers crossed they let can offer us something x

Hmnmm possibly Emily, will add that to the list.

Looks set to chuck it down here, coming over really black.

Just washed up some cups and glasses and breakfast dishes. Gave the kitchen a bit of a clean. We've been collecting those bottles with pop tops, we now have 5, the first one looked nice set alongside my old fashioned jug on the window ledge, it's got a bit much now though so removed them. Also they all had a use before date on them, fortunately a scourer it came off easy. If I was tempted enough I would do something nice and put in there but I am useless at crafty gifts like that. Don't want to throw the bottles away though

Becci, I have never sent anything back as when I have on there it's been awkward to do so. If you send it back, you don't know how long you will wait for the refund, then you run the risk of either it selling out at the price or it going back up. Could always be cheeky and say to the seller you are not happy that it went down in price so quickly after the sale, and could they refund you the difference. Worth a try. Think somehwere is doing that in that they are doing deals this week and if it is cheaper on Friday they will refund the money

I did see a great article on flavoured vodka but you have to let it infuse for a month. That would have been a good idea. Could do the oil idea. Might look into it.

There are some that you can put in the dishwasher to do so don't take as long. We used to do a flavoured vodka over Christmas/New Year and its great fun. we have done skittles, jelly babies and toffee. I can't remember which but some you have to ferment and shake regularly and others put in the dishwasher. They are lethal though

I have just put a link on your wall but that's different to how we did it.

We get an empty 2 litre pop bottle and empty a bottle of the cheapest vodka you can find into it. Add sweets (avoid black/purple j3lly b@b1es as they turn it a horrible colour) and shake well.
Put in the dishwasher on the hottest wash on top shelf. No detergent
shake well when it comes out and pass through a sieve if needed

put in freezer to cool if you want. We did this so we could drink it that night but its also nice to drink it cold anyway in my opinion.

OH just called and he was told we can have a mortgage for a LOT more than we were expecting!! So exciting. Means we can afford one of the new builds which are going up at the moment.
We will go and meet with them on Saturday and see if there are any left. We didn't expect to be able to afford one of them so really chuffed with it :)
Then to see the bank about the mortgage and my aunt about her savings she has been keeping for us x

Took your advice gf and rang @m@z0n and theyve refunded the difference .. More because when I ordered it there was a with special offers and without special offers option and I didn't know what this meant I assumed it was just a discount that you could it into (silly I know) but then when I went in today there's a new review saying that with special offers means that it has ad pop ups on it but this isn't stated anywhere in the description as the review said so they just agreed really quickly to refund £30 :D

We went to see the houses a few months back to have a nosey round and they really are lovely with a decent sized garden too. But they were well out of what we were expecting to be our price range. Now they come about £40k under what OH was told today! Our price range went up by £60k in the space of a phone call. They have taken into account OHs shift allowance which I wasn't expecting them to. He even told them about the difference between his basic and shift and they said to include it.

That's great news Becci. Must have been a fault with the website.

So we will be living together miles away from his mum, yet if anything happened to him they would call his her and not me!?!

Haha love that Becci but Emma that's not reasonable. I thought you could change your next of kin to be your partner. Must be wrong. Best of luck for his interview.

Emma you're right so happy about it. I cant remember feeling this positive about things. I'm on a high! Blame the caffeine tea I had this morning. A lady at work bought in some cardamom tea from India and it was gorgeous! Full of caffeine though so my head is regretting it now.
