When my granddad was in intensive care all I could think was I wished I had the strength to do what they do day in day out because they literally save lives .. wish I'd done something a little more exciting with my life rather than a management degree - can't really make a difference or have a positive impact on wider society with that but never mind!

Emma court proceedings are horrid, and can make everyone snap. They just drag on and on, every time the anxious build up followed by the anti-climax. I watched a family very close to me go through it and it nearly destroyed the relationship between my best friend and her then 17 year old daughter. Rows were commonplace, police were called on one occasion to calm things down, and on another they picked up the 17 year old as she was sat on a bridge over a railway line. One night the mother ran out and we called the police as we were so worried about her state of mind. They're getting back on track slowly but surely now.

The story of baby P was heartbreaking. I could never be a social worker, I wouldn't be strong enough to make those decisions and deal with the consequences. I think it does involve a degree but it's probably the kind of thing you could do with 0pen un1 while working.

I slept solid last night but I never really stopped after getting home.

The CD is back today after 2 weeks of paternity leave so he will be buried under emails today. Can't sneak on the net during the day now though as his office is behind me... Booooo

OH is home tonight thank god. I've missed him this week

It's really dark and gloomy here today as well. Yuck.

On the usual 8-9 conference call to discuss all my areas damaged cars and what's happening with them ... I hate that it's so early but I only have one problem car that's been waiting for an alloy from the dealer for over 31 days which I keep nagging them about so should be an easy call for me :)

Afternoon ladies, it's quiet here today!

Working from home today as I've got invoicing to do, spent the morning listening to xmas songs whilst I worked! Loved it haha! Was being lazy but just had to get dressed and put make up on as I have a video call at 1! Was enjoying sitting in my pjs haha!

We were due to go up to Leicester, but as OH has not had great news about his job and possible redudancies, we;re going to have a quiet weekend with just the two of us - will take him out to dinner tomorrow night to cheer him up a bit.

Any dress news?!!!!!

This morning has flown by... got a meeting at 2pm so that will make the afternoon go quick too

Got a weekend with thw kids.... Seeing OHs LO tomorrow and going to the play centre again then taking the middle one out for lunch on Sunday. Work again Monday but off Tuesday for court!

not much planned for the weekend. I was going to work but nope. I will not be doing that now.

Coffee with bestie tomorrow, then singing at the Christmas ideal home show at Olympia on Sunday. Hubby is gonna come too so we can turn it into a London day out :)

Lucky you - quite busy today sorting out problems and the like, so just popped downstairs to our cafe and purchased crisps and now on a guilt trip!!

Not long left til home time! Will get the pooch walked early then crack on with dinner ready for OH to get home. Thinking of doing sausages, eggs, beans and @ctifry chips tonight. Only eaten a banana today so definitely need to re-fuel before dance tonight otherwise I think I'll pass out.

I don't actually feel hungry. I feel as though I'm low on energy and I have a headache but I don't have any tummy rumbles or anything!

I know it's not healthy but I've not really been feeling hungry during the day. I haven't lost my appetite all together - I feel I could eat, I just don't feel hungry or feel like I fancy anything if that makes sense? Polished off my dinner at Fr@nk13 & B3nnys last night plus a side of fries and then bought a sticky toffee pud and custard from t3sc0 on our way home and demolished the lot of that too lol!

I used to HAVE to eat during the day as I'd be starving otherwise, not sure why my body seems to have changed! Fingers crossed it means my stomach is shrinking, haha.
