Thick fog here when I left work, considered staying as I literally could not see. Even stopped my car at one point. If anyone was on a bike or walking, I'd never have seen them. Got up the road from work and more or less clear,

Just spent ages trying to get Joseph down for a nap, even though he was tired. He hates napping and fights so hard. I laugh when I read about how much daytime sleep he should be having. At least he sleeps well through the night. Last night wasn't great but he is full of cold.

I hope everyone is well?!
Been a while since I last came on so I thought id pop in and say hi…
Hubby gone back up to Barrow this morning till Friday. He has been in and out of work since before Christmas so luckily, he’s back to good work, good money and good colleagues!
So, I started a new job back in November which I then decided I disliked due to the commute taking ages and the work being boring. Well I still dislike it lol…. The people are great and I’m treated well but I’m bored. I’m just not a receptionist. I need more!
Anyway, I had 2 interviews on Thursday last week and I got offered both positions so I went with my gut feeling and I have accepted the job in the smaller company with the scruffy offices. The atmosphere was much better and I just clicked straight away with the MD. Since Christmas, I have started studying my level 2 in accounts too from home and the new company have said that I can sit with the accounts manager on quieter days to get me through my course…. Bonus!!!
So, I’m on my 4 weeks notice period now and I cant wait to get out of here.

Just been out and done the shopping, just cooking pie and mash for dinner. Nom nom nom.
Hubby is off to Windsor in the morning for a few days. That's if he gets off the island. Same with me as I need to be in Portsmouth tomorrow but if the fog does not lift or gets wor the boats won't be running,

Hey Emm- nice to hear from you- sometimes you just know if a company isn't right for you- I once took i job I hated after I was made redundant- it was the longest miserable 5 months of my life!

Not impressed just been told that we may have to start paying for our son's special formula (due to allergies)...May not sound like a big deal but at £38 for a 400g tin it would cost us £608 every 4 weeks! where on earth do they expect parents to find that sort of money from? It's not like we choose to give our babies this milk, we have no choice. Ok there is breast feeding but some mothers like me can't produce milk or baby can even react to the foods the mum is eating. Plus it's wrong to force any mother to breast feed who doesn't want to and surely this is doing just that.
Don't get me wrong I would pay towards my son's milk to help cut down costs but to expect us to pay full price when our babies could die from having normal formula and other babies can get bigger tins for £10 is just plain stupid.
Sorry random little rant there.

Had to wait in for a boiler repair man this morning so I was late to work and missed a meeting, luckily it has been rescheduled.
The guy came out and bled two radiators and told me to keep and eye on the pump and that was it..... I told him the two rooms aren't getting any warmer than 8 degrees and that's all he did, I'm hoping its warmer tonight otherwise I'll be complaining to the letting agency tomorrow.

That's awful Tiffany. I struggled with breastfeeding, Joseph wouldn't latch correctly so wasn't stimulating the supply enough. He had some breast milk up to six months but we had to give formula as well, he wasn't gaining enough weight otherwise. I have a friend whose daughter is lactose intolerant, and she breastfed and had to be dairy free herself. Apparently the child is more likely to grow out of the allergy if breast milk is given until the age of two. However if your son is reacting to a lot of things it would be far more difficult for you to avoid everything he can't have. Maybe your doctor or health visitor can argue the case? How old is he? I know most babies don't need formula after a year. Clearly he can't go onto normal milk but could he have a normal dairy free alternative?

Elinor Claire - Apparently it is changing for all parents with babies on special formula, to make it more fair on other parents and cut down costs for the NHS. What they fail to see is, the cost of getting to the sheer amount of appointments our babies/children have due to these allergies and the extra cost for all the 'fr33 fr0m f00ds' add up to well over £10 a week for a tin of normal formula.
He has just turned one. Until he completes the milk or soya ladder without any reactions or he turns 5, he has to stay on the formula. He is allergic/intolerant to so much stuff the only milk he can have is not suitable for children under the age of 5. Keeping our fingers crossed that he had out grown one of them if/before the changes come in.

Well, thanks for informing me you had advertised already!! I appreciate I'm leaving and they have to advertise but they could have at least warned me that the ad had gone in and I may receive some calls! I thought that was very disrespectful to be honest.
oh well, I'm just gonna have to muddle through for the next 3 weeks!
