How did it start IDL? I noticed a sore type thing under my left eye yesterday afternoon. At first I thought it was a dislodged eyelash that was irritating my eye but I've got a small red patch there in the crease below my eye. Hoping it's just a spot...

I've just had a text from my southern counterpart that's he's in hospital after having a heart attack yesterday!! I only saw him fit as a fiddle on Friday .. He's having a stent fitted today but he's only about 30!

Mine started as a tiny little white looking spot just on my eyelash line on my bottom lid. 4 days later its come up as a massive stye under the eyelid.

Tell me about it Becci , since being in this job I've been ill more times than ever and the stye is another example. I've slept so much since Friday night and to be honest this week off work is a complete write off because all I'm doing is trying to recover from being overworked and stressed.

Heya, laid on the bed and fell asleep, woke about 20 mins ago when I heard the door slam, came down to find hubby back. He asked what was up, I said I'm just so tired so he said well get up and about and do something. I pointed out I do have a night shift tonight and he said he didn't know. He did though.

Same with my job IDL, we used to have five mws on in the morning and afternoon, four for the night shift, plus three hca's for the each shift, plus the housekeeper during the day. Now it's four mws per shift, two hca's (one of which is a labour ward technician), at night it can be a struggle as the lwt is also the assistant to th surgeon in theatre, then the other hca needs to go there to run, leaving no hca on the ward

You just poke a few holes in them wrap them in tin foil then pop them on high for 4-5 hours or low for 7-8 hours and they go all fluffy!

It's such a shame to hear about ladies that are trapped in domestic violence. Sometimes the consequences of leaving are too frightening. I had a friend who was with an abusive man. Various people had told her to leave, part of the reason she wouldn't were because of his two children whose mother was dead, and she felt she needed to be their mum. She was also terrified. On the evening where he finally pushed her to the point that she called the police and he was taken away, she just burst into tears once the police had left saying "What have I done? He's going to kill me". It's that fear that makes so many women stay in abusive relationships, they expect leaving to actually be worse.

It's wet in Cardiff today as well. I actually managed to slip on the way to work this morning. My feet went out sideways from under me and I slid so elegantly (not) onto the ground. Nothing hurt but my dignity though. I've been looking on the internet about falls in pregnancy and everything I've read suggests that it's nothing to worry about. I landed on the side of my bum so there was no impact on my abdomen, and there's no pain or bleeding which seem to be the things that I would need to watch out for. They also mention reduced activity in the baby, but it's too soon at 13 weeks to be able to feel the baby moving anyway. That was one of the surreal things at the scan last week, I could see the baby moving but not feel it.

Sorry had to pop off for a while. I had a lovely time away thanks Flossie! The weather was fab, didn't need a coat for the last 2 days! Milo loved it too but is still shattered now haha, not used to being out walking all day! It was just what we needed xx
