Morning all, had a relatively chilled day considering what we have got done. We haven't completed the house papers but will carry on tomorrow with that. Just put some fish cakes in and OH gone to get some chips for a quick dinner before the swimming gala this evening.

Been to see OHs sister who has a 6 month springer pup.... LO cried bless him is he's just too excitable!!
Took him home and he went off ok....... To be honest, this is the longest he has been away from his mum too so small steps and all that. He's had a great day and weather depending, next week we'd like to go to Matlock with the games machines and rides.
We won't be able to go places every weekend and may have some days pottering around the house but the fact we can gave him is great

I've gone soooooo tired.
OH has gone to work on the railway tonight. It's so cold and windy out there. I feel for him.
Just found LOs scarf on the sofa. I'm sure his ex will have a good moan at that!! I've offered to post it up if she needs it desperately but she'll not get it til Tuesday!

I would have loved a takeaway tonight but really trying to be good. OH and I had a silly row earlier which was blew out of proportion. We are both being stubborn and won't say sorry so sitting here not speaking lol. Didn't have a great day with the potty. Decided then to pop out and get LO hair cut but he freaked out and wouldn't sit to get it cut lol. Then popped to a shop, got myself some boots down from £50 to £15!! Also got LO a pair of N1ke trainers down to £12.50. They are too big for him but will put them away for when they do fit

I bought some bed mats (like puppy training mats) put one in his car seat and a spare one for the pushchair incase he weed in them. I always take a bag with me with a spare set of clothes in just in case lol. He will get there you're doing brill

Hello everyone.
So I gave blood yesterday evening. Not my first time, but it's the first time that my heart just randomly starts to feel like it's beating very fast. I feel my pulse on my neck and it does seem to be quite quick. I would say it beats twice in a second. I have emailed the blood service to find out if it's normal. Has anyone else encountered this?

Productive day today. We dropped some things off at a charity shop, then had lunch and went to a piano recital. Then we bought curtains before doing the weekly shop. Hubby put the curtains up in the sitting room, and it makes such a difference. It feels so much more like a home. In the meantime I put the first coat of paint on the stairs, and I'm surprised at how well it has worked. I wasn't sure if painting them would work, despite it being my idea. It's suddenly feeling like we're a lot closer to having the house finished.

Morning all
LO got us up early again. OH got it on him as he kept trying it on this morning. Told him no whilst LO up and walking in and out bedroom. We either too tired at bedtime or LO is up. He's morning that we never get 'us' time
Need to put a wash load on but not got much else planned. Will probably go and take LO to see my mum and dad later

Morning all..... Had another lie in Today, 7.20 so that was nice. Went straight in the shower and OH came back about 7.45. He's shattered bless him.
Need to pop to the supermarket and get some food for the week! And then I might pop round Silverhill with LO for a couple of hours to get some fresh air!

OH just said that we go on honeymoon on 23 June but he's determined to have his vote in the referendum. Think we will both have to do a postal vote. We're sitting on opposite sides of the fence so have had some rather lively debates!!!

Morning all.
Had a good night last night, hubby was djing at a friend's 40th, but they also had a band there so they done a bit each throughout the night, we had friends over from the mainland and we danced loads. I managed to stay up yesterday until after 1pm, then had to go grab some sleep but it meant I could carry on for the rest of the day.
Danielle, they say in the self rostering to do the two weeks of nights, naturally the ones who don't like doing them won't put them in,I don't mind as it means I can get them in the week instead of over a weekend. Don't mind doing Friday nights as then come Saturday it's over,

Afternoon all,
had a very lazy morning, woke up at 9 but didn't start doing things until 11 really. got all our jobs for the day done though now so going to have some breakfast (lunch really) and going to the cinema later to see Deadpool. SIL got OH a voucher for the cinema for his birthday so using that :)

There was a huge amount of work needed on the house when we bought it. That's why we got a good price. The lady who had lived there had died and it had been neglected. We're getting close now though.

Lindsay I'm applying for a postal vote for the Welsh Assembly elections on May 7th, as it's within two weeks of the baby's due date so not inconceivable that I could be in hospital. I think June 23rd will be fine though. I was hoping the referendum would be later, as the assembly elections now could become all about Europe and nothing else.

EC our host was similar. Old lady lived there still until we bought it off het but in our opinion it was uninhabitable. It was awful. So completely stripped it back to the brick. New plumbing, electrics and everything. It's so amazing once finished though x

InDreamland our electrics and plumbing are at least ok. The house has been rewired at some point, and although the pipes are old they are functioning. Damp proofing was the big thing for us, and total redecoration. The wallpaper was peeling and the general decor was very dated. Plus it was filthy. We've barely touched the garden, which is also in a dreadful state.

EC our garden was the last thing to do and it's still a work in progress 3 years later! Good thing your plumbing and electrics are ok. We got cavity wall insulation put in too whilst we were doing everything else.

Just been on th3 5un website and a little boy died of meningitis within 24 hours of bring disgnosed. He was only 7. His mum and dad have done a petition to give vaccination to all children and not just newborns.
I've just signed it. They've got over 600,000 signatures now
