Well the end of last week took an unexpected turn with my Dad being taken into hospital so that meant a trip there yesterday, he is is the best place now so hopefully on the road to recovery.

Got a shock when I walked into work this morning to see they have put the Christmas tree up... I was just like I must be hallucinating its November

I need to put my decorating up in 2 weeks as I will be too busy the week after with the wedding and all! Straight after we go on honeymoon so...

Had my hen do this weekend, so glad I booked today off work, I've had 12 hours sleep last night. Bliss!
Got to go sort the mortgage renew today and get some little bits and pieces. Basically errand day! Wish me luck!

Hi everyone. Haven't neen on in a few days, been having a rubbish time. 4am fri morning in work I began vomiting so much constantly. Felt so ill. Spend the day in bed then had to take Friday night off sick. Must have been a tummy bug. Also had some pain down below sorry tmi so midwife told me to leave in a swab. Turns out I've thrush. Lovely. Then the 3rd was the worst. Last night I put a mug of milk in microwave to make hot choc and left it on too long and forgot about it. Heard it go ding, lifted it out, put spoon in and it overflowed badly burning 2 fingers and both thumbs. The pain was horrendous all night. Don't no how I manage to dose in between the pain. This morning they were still extremely red, painful and one looked like it was blistering and the other the skin was breaking. Went to dr surgery and seen nurse. She said they were quite bad and now have them all bandaged up. She said it was a good thing I kept them in water for so long though or it would have been a lot worse. Sorry for the long moan lol

Jen I have a scan tomorrow morning. More or less another dating scan. A little annoying as I have all the info in my pregnancy notes, they just didn't put it on their system. Means we get an extra peek at baby though. Then they will book me in for my anomaly scan which I should have next week but will prob be later now

Aw that's nice you get another look at baby, I've had 4 scans already because at both 12 and 20 week scan he refused to get into the right positions. The last one we had at 22 weeks was literally 10 minutes though, sonographer wanted leg measurements and he literally had his legs up like he was ready for them!

Im currently in work on my dinner and it is going super slow....
Roll on the weekend again.. actually theres more to do at home than at work at the moment :D

Danielle - baby brain in full mode- hope you recover- last year I spilt a whole cup of boiling water on my hand- ring hot stuck on and had a massive blister- had to use a whole bottle of washing up liquid to get it off and pop blister- thought my hands were gonna scar but luckily didn't- it's a,aging what cold water does!

We had a really positive visit from the health visitor this morning. Joseph is now 17lb 2oz, from a birth weight of 8lb 1oz, so he's more than doubled his birth weight, despite losing 9.8% in the first week and taking four weeks to get back up to birth weight. Even then he was slow, but once we added formula and started weaning it took off. Now we can be more adventurous with food, and give thicker textures. I won't be sorry to say goodbye to blending things into a purée. I'm also trying to persuade him that water is not that bad to drink, at the moment he just pulls a face at me.

Aw EC sounds like he is doing really well! Little J was kicking hubby in the face for ages last night, he was having a good old wriggle and roll over in there so hubby put his head on my tummy and was talking to him. I think he feels a bit removed as his doesn't have a baby wriggling in his belly!

How is it only Wednesday? Been a loooonnnng week already :(

Jenn I think it's hard for the guys. It was ages after I first felt movement before Matthew felt anything. The kicks weren't that frequent as the placenta was in front, so if I felt a kick and put Matthew's hand there then there wouldn't be another kick.

Just got back from Oh rents- his sister was there- really annoys me- she is a total fun sucker! Everything is a drama and everything goes wrong for her- she is such a drama queen and everything has to come back to her and her be the focus and centre of attention- there is no positiveness from her and I really struggle to join in and not say anything nasty to her! Tonight I just sat in the corner far away from everyone- hi sister is do loud I don't think I actually uttered 2 words tonight! It's do draining!

Morning everyone,

Ended up with a fairly busy day yesterday. Popped to work to have meeting, saw another midwife I needed to chat to about a couple of ladies on my caseload and then popped into the orange supermarket to get a few bits, then hubby rang asking if i was still there and would I like to meet so we did that, had a mooch around the shops as well. Probs leave bug get stuff now until Friday next week at least, came home sorted laundry out and got ready for body combat. We were doing it fancy dress last night as superheroes for children in need. I had borrowed a bat girl outfit, plastic on the outside so wS very hot, I had leggings and vest in under so took dress off half way through. The air con was not working right either so we ended up steaming the mirror up. The home and dinner and shower then sat down.

Off to body pump shortly and then spin tonight, getting a lot in this week or at least hope I shall be able to as on call from tomorrow morning through to Monday morning,

Aw EC, my placenta is anterior too but I feel an awful lot, I was quite surprised.

Afternoon.

Had an awesome body pump class this morning. Felt good as on Tuesday I felt my upper strength had got up and done a runner. Popped to the shop after I got back to get a few bits and having a chill catching up on I'm a celeb.

Blimey quiet in here today- took forever to get home from work- text OH and he didn't tell me he was out- really peed off- ordered a curry and still not here- starving and tired- just want a shower and bed!

Four hours of screaming 'dada' 'dad dad' and 'daddy' with tears streaming down his face my little man is fast asleep. I don't think he likes daddy's new rota at work. It's heart braking seeing him so upset :'(

I've had a terrible day, in fact I've had a dreadful week. TGIF.

Just feel like crying.

Oh dear, hope you have plenty of time with him this weekend.

I'm just so exhausted I can't think straight.

I need more than a chilled weekend. I'm off work now until December thank goodness but I know that I will just end up with tonnes of things to do when I go back.

My darling little man decided mummy and daddy needed waking every hour last night. I finally gave up at 5.30am and got up, got my kitchen , bathrooms, utility room and living room blitzed, carpets cleaned, washing and ironing all done and in piles ready to put away. Sit down for dinner and decided I would let our 10 month old feed himself...BAD IDEA...I walk out the room come back in to find he has thrown the baked beans all over the place (all washing and ironing needs to be re done and carpet re cleaned!) and the bowl on his head.

If I didn't laugh I would of cried.

Thanks GF. I'm so emotional at the moment. Have had to try and keep it together all week at work without breaking down crying then yesterday I had a journey into the office from hell, it was just horrible. I am just drained and really don't feel like I can deal with anymore. Just hoping I can properly switch off this week coming as I'm off now until December.

Sounds like you have been very busy. You must be knackered.

Our polish friend came round so w went out for a meal at the pub, hubby is djing tonight and the polish friend is with him, so he will come back messy tonight, I'm not looking forward to that. I need sleep.

We've had sausages, mash, onion gravy and broccoli for dinner. All cleaned up now. Trying to relax.

Morning all.

Never got a huge amount of rest. Went to bed and could not settle as hubby was still out djing. He finishes at 12 and is literally around the corner so when he was not home by 0045 I text him, no answer, text him about 0115, no reply, but it was read. He came in just after that, stank of alcohol, even after then I kept waking up. Then got a phone call at 0445 to attend a home birth as a second midwife, was only there an hour as just for the delivery. Now home and having a cuppa to wake myself up ready for work today, with the possibility of getting called out again today/tonight again.

First load of laundry in the washing machine for the day. Will get a second load in as soon as that one finishes.
