Well that was an interesting 45 mins! Been having lots of problems with my phone for the past few months so IT have been testing that and trying to see what the problem was, they were doing loads of test calls so had my phone ringing non-stop then it decided to just randomly cut out and I couldn't get it to come back on again. Then my laptop lost connection and wouldn't come back so I restarted it and then it chucked me out and I couldn't get back on for ages! Finally back now, think everything is sorted now! Bloody technology!!!
Rubbish news about work Sarah but just think it's one more bow to your arrow and more experience for yourself. I'd take it as a compliment that they want you to do it xx

I feel a bit insulted as they basically said well were not hiring someone so you can do it and we might get a school leaver in to do some of it! and I don't even know what this girl does sure most of it is chasing up stuff in the machine shop and inputting works orders for the machine shop which to me seems boring! I always wanted to stay away from the production side of things but now im being forced! Ill try and think of it as a positive but its not going down well so far today xx

We've recently outsourced our IT to somewhere in Russia I think? I think they are actually very good but the company is just so huge it's impossible to make sure everything is 100% all the time. Plus when there is a problem you can't really understand what they are saying properly so you just go round in circles lol! xx

The thing that makes me laugh is we are an outsourcing facilities management company, so we help other companies with their needs whether it be property management/maintenance, energy related services etc... and we go and outsource our IT division! xx

Afternoon all just got in from meeting my mum this morning.
Had a nightmare morning. Had to go and pick some bulbs up for my brake lights as mine have packed up. Also my boot doesn't stay up. Apparantly I need the hydraulic things to hold it up. So went to get them with LO this morning and OH bank card wouldn't work. Trying to hold a 2 year old whilst fumbling in my bag to get my bank card to pay for it. Nightmare
Meant to meet my mum at 9 but was still at the place getting bulbs etc so didn't get there until nearly 9.30
LO been a pain in the @rse the whole time we were out. Threw his juice bottle on the floor so that broke so he couldn't have a drink. Went to the cafe and got him a fru1t sh00t instead but that wasn't good enough.
After an hour and a half of him moaning he finally went to sleep in the last shop....
Is it bed time yet?

I'd had the worst day ever at work a few years ago because the area manager that hated me was refusing to give me the 6.5 days holiday I'd requested even though it fulfilled all the holiday criteria I.e no nore than x number of staff off at once and no more than x off within one branch and then refused to give me alternatives that I could take within my holiday year either because he was short staffed even though is given over a months notice for my holiday request.
I kicked off and said he couldn't do that so he offered to pay me so I said that's no good as I deliberately left the holidays for May/ June time so I had plenty of time to perfect my dissertation but he wouldn't budge. That night I had a private message on l1nk3d1n for an opportunity with a competitor so after the day I had I said sure I'll come to interview! Was interviewed the very next day and offered the job that night so next day I emailed area manager saying that I was handing in my notice and since I had 6.4 days holiday I was taking my legal right to take these from my notice period and that I'd be leaving on Friday after 3.5 days notice - I won the last laugh as then he was even more short staffed!
To make matters even better on my last day he crashed his company car into one of our parked cars on our location hahahahaa ha the demise of him was sweet
