Morning ladies, finally had a decent-ish night's sleep last night so feeling a bit better this morning. I still woke up a few times for a wee etc but slept a lot more than I have been doing!

Plumber came and replaced the taps on the bath last night so we now have normality back - might take advantage and have a nice hot bubble bath tonight after doing a HIIT session :) I was a little bit annoyed as OH said that the plumber said our landlady had a bit of a pop when she called him, saying "bloody house" and she was quite annoyed. Apparently she said she never hears from her other tenants. As if it's our fault that there has been problems?! They have all been legit problems that we NEEDED sorted - i.e. a leak under the bath which was affecting the wall downstairs and generating mould, a broken heater in the lounge, a tap on the sink that was not working and now the bath taps. It's not like we're just being awkward. There are lots of other little things that ideally we would like to have sorted out but as it's not our house we've decided it's not that important and we can live with it, so that we don't constantly nag the landlady. If she isn't prepared to make repairs then she shouldn't be a landlady in the first place - things go wrong with houses no matter who lives in them!!!!

However she has always been really speedy with getting things sorted. Maybe she's just had a bad week and she's feeling stressed. The plumber did say her partner had a bad accident on Christmas eve where he fell over the side of an escalator and cracked his head open, broke his ribs, etc....

Mrs Wade - please don't dread your wedding or let anyone else spoil it for you! It sounds as if your sister is being awkward and a cowbag on purpose - if she had any respect for you then she would put her own feelings aside and ensure that the lead up to your wedding is as stress free as possible, without making it all about her. I know it's easier said than done but leave her to it and ignore anything she says. Focus on you, your OH and your LO and enjoy the run up to your wedding together - if other people want to join you in that then they can, if they don't then it's their loss and shows how selfish they are. You will have an absolutely fab day no matter what!!! xx

Glad your taps are sorted Flossie! Maybe your landlady is just stressed out with her partners accident and the fact that it was over Christmas probably didn't help. Still though, she shouldn't be saying things like that about you and especially not to a stranger!

I think she was saying it about the house rather than us personally, but it still got my back up a bit lol. I think she knows the plumber quite well as he's the one she used before and he seems to know quite a bit about them - i.e. the accident. I never contact her unless it's absolutely necessary so I really hope she doesn't think we are annoying. I like to think we are great tenants personally!

The plumber is recommending to her that she gets the taps over the sink in the kitchen replaced too as they will be on their way out soon. So we'll see what she says to that lol. That's not us though, that's him saying they need replacing.

    Morning ladies hope alls well.
Not been on for a while so just browsed over all.
Got LO off today with belly ache but think she's playing a fast one on me and tbh I can't be bothered today. Back to school tomorrow unless she's sick. Lil mare.
12 yo was off Monday as AF made a first appearance Sunday and she was having bad cramps from it bless her.

OH having trouble with his ex and kids AGAIN. they didn't turn up this weekend like they were meant to,and when questioned about it was told they don't want to so not coming ( youngest has been playing up at bedtime every night she's here so he told her off for it, mums told OH not to tell them off again -and she wonders why oldest is always in trouble.)

I've started eating healthy and running at night only for 20 mins arm but will build up slowly.
Got an appt next month to see consultant in Birmingham and I'm sooooo excited. Feel like all my xmas's have come at once.

Morning all. really busy night last night but was worth it.
Got home and had a couple of bits of work to finish off. Did those then spent a couple of house clearing down my emails. Went to choir too.. It was a lot harder than I expected going back. I didn't cry though which is good.

Could have slept for England this morning though... cant wait for the weekend. No alarm going off!

argg! I hate budgets! Having horses doesnt help either since my Horsebox mechanic has just presented me with a £1400 bill to get the lorry through its test (cheap compared to last years bill) and my horse is injured, he has had nearly £5k in vet bills since july 2015, thankfully covered by insurance but I've now maxed out the insurance so any more treatment and I will have to pay! he is being reassessed at the end of the month and likely to have at least £800 in treatments!

I have decided I need to win the lottery! I have very expensive tastes but not the budget to go with them!

I've seen some invites that I realy realy realy want! except they are £5.50 per invite!

I'm going to have a go at making them myself as I'm fairly sure I can do it much much cheaper than £5.50 per invite.

Pinky Pie that's ridiculous, when kids are with your OH he's responsible for them and therefore has every right to scold them if he needs to. Sounds like maybe his ex is spoiling them and that's why they'd rather be with her. Is there a court order for contact?

I had a doughnut at lunchtime as part of a special offer at work, and the baby is more lively than I've known him. The movements are that strong that I can put my hand on my bump and feel them externally, which hasn't really happened before. I'll have to bear that in mind for when I'm at home, as it might give my husband a chance to feel.

Haha Elinor, maybe Flossie is right and it is more donuts that baby needs to wriggle more :)
Must be a really special feeling! I have always thought that it must be difficult for the Dad who doesn't get to feel the baby growing and get that bond during pregnancy.

Thank you, its just a local one nothing special. I don't even like their music. Its very easy compared to my level and choirs I used to sing in and they mainly do popular music/musical numbers which I like but I don't like singing them. I prefer to sing classical music as that's my background. I love my old choir but its on the same night as cubs so can't go anymore. This is a good compromise.
I found the whole reading music thing difficult. With my knitting I cant follow a proper pattern at the moment so am just doing simple things. I had the same feeling when I was trying to read the music. my head just couldn't follow it properly

I got choir tonight, excited to go back after Christmas. Apparently we have 48 (!!!!!!) new people coming to try tonight, that's more than ever. We get a trickle of newbies at the beginning of each term but this is huge! I just hope we get more sopranos and they don't all go to alto because it's "safe"!

My choir does largely show songs as well, although there is classical music too. A lot of it is specifically Christian. I sometimes find it frustrating as it is unauditioned with no requirements of standard, so sometimes we spend a lot of time note bashing things that I can sightread really easily, plus sometimes things get changed to make it easier for those who don't read, which confuses me no end. However the end result is always really special and the bond between the members is strong, so I wouldn't change to another choir now. I also really like being in such a small group, where every voice matters, as I really feel that I count. I loved being in the choral society where I went to uni, and as a choir with a big reputation we did some amazing performances, including Wembley Arena and the proms at the Royal Albert Hall. However in a choir of 200 voices it was easy to get lost and just be one of the crowd. Having said that my choir is currently a bit too small and we really need some more ladies. We're the opposite to Jenn, we need another strong alto as people who are less experienced find it much harder to hold a harmony line. We do need another soprano as well though, as my voice isn't that loud, especially now that the baby is right below my diaphragm, and the lady with the stronger soprano voice has real trouble with her breathing because of her asthma.

I think the thing with the doughnut is that babies respond to an increase in the mother's blood sugar level. I wouldn't want to do it too often as it's probably not that healthy, but potentially a few chocolates in the evening so that baby kicks when hubby is around would be ok. It's good to start getting a sense of what will make the baby active. I know hubby is desperate to be able to feel the baby, he hasn't said it that strongly but simply the number of times that he has said "I'm looking forward to when I can feel it" tells me that he really wants to experience that. It's so difficult, it has to happen at the right time when I can get him to put his hand in the right place.

Well today turned out horrendously stressful.... I'll be pleased after tomorrow and then I won't bore you poor ladies with my worries. So, the solicitor emailed me to say, to save you money it may not really benefit you spending £750 + VAT on me attending court with you blah blah

I phoned OH to tell him and he says he wants him there so I mailed straight back saying, thanks but we are happy to pay as instructed within 30 days of invoice and we want you there please.

He replied saying, no problem I'm happy to attend but unfortunately I do require payment for the hearing in advance in accordance with our firms policy.....

Since forging when??? Nothing was mentioned at all about being paid in advance!! At 13.34 the day before expected in court, who in the right mind asks for £750 + VAT!?

I rang OH in floods of tears so we are having to count out £900 from our saving bottle to pay the so,I iron hoping he will accept it tomorrow morning

We tried to ring him back but they appear to have closed Wednesday afternoons, not that this was ever explained!!

    I'm fuming!!

PinkyPie I tend to buy unbroken 3 or 4 yr olds and produce them under saddle myself.
This lad was supposed to be my HOYS horse, he is utterly stunning and got the most amazing temperament ever!
Unfortunatly aged 5 he went lame and now he is 6 he has been diagnosed with arthritis of the spine
He will never be a competition horse now as the drug he is on are not fei or jockey club competition legal.
He will just have to be an absolutely stunning light hack! And I will have to save up again for a top quality youngster and go through the whole breaking and producing again!

Evening all. Work slightly better today, except one client who had 2travellers flights cancelled. We had an email so it was sent to the consultant who booked it ( unknown to me), then I get a call from one of the PAs asking about it. So I put the phone down to call the airline, inform the supervisor who then tells me about said email. As I'm about to call a 2nd PA then calls up about it and I'm like 'argh just let me call them for you!'. As it turns out they had been rebooked but travellers hadn't read the instructions on the email properly and hadn't clicked on,causing mass panic :/

Sounds a bit strange that em- good luck to him counting them k say he deserves it!

Netball is horrendous now- I think it's bad everywhere as th tournament we went to in Great Yarmouth in October one of the teams rhere I nearly murdered the Gd for pushing me around. No need!

Sounds like a few people have had rubbish days hope things look up and best of luck for tomorrow em although I don't think you'll need it :)
Mmw2b - sounds like yu need a break from your family for a while this is not fair what they're doing to you!

EC glad little one was lively today - must be a strange feeling - I have to admit I'm scared to death of pregnant people as my brain just doesn't compute there is a living being in there - crazy I know! My bm being pregnant will probably change that but I've never really been around anyone pregnant so probably why it's a bit bozarre for me even though it's totally natural!
