They were not happy as they weren't invited and other members of the family was. I have issues with my brother going back years. They don't know anything about it, J does so it is going to be a bit awkward but it is my little sisters day and it will not spoil her day. She came to Spain to be with us on our big day so it is only fair we do the same to her. Will see what j says when I finally get round to talking to him on Skype tonight x

Hi all, so busy at work don't seem to stop at the minute. Tried to get up and do shred today but it just didn't happen!

4 days in this week and off Friday, going down to London for the night and day Sat.

Just done day 6 of the shred.... Jeeeez I'm pooped.

Glad I did it though.

Been busy at work today, then to see baby Rosie who is absolutely beautiful and so tiny (though a chunk) and also called in at my sisters who is full hen party mode.....

Felt too tired when I got in at 8.45 but made myself do the DVD and 20 arm reps with the 10kg weight and I'm so glad I did it!!

Knick knacked now so shower and bed lol

Morning ladies,

Had an ok sleep last night. Still tired when it was time to get up though!

Pouring down with rain this morning and cold.... Never nice when on the school run

Becci- I am finding bits easier but it's still hard and exhausting but it doesn't help that I smoke. I get breathless easy but I'm definitely noticing I'm toning up. I'm actually looking forward to level 2 now for some different moves but I will have to adapt them to my capabilities... Lol

Morning all.

That was the longest shift ever, just been paid to do two temperatures on a baby and a blood pressure on Mum.

Had a call about the tumble dryer and they said they would be with me in 20-30 mins. I said can you make it nearer 30 as I am about to leave work and they said yep, left work, was back home within 15 mins of the phone call and they were here. At least I dont have to wait up for it. Popped into town, got some milk and just grabbing some breakfast before heading to bed. Hopefully I will sleep better today

Lucky you Becci - wish we got some perks like that, although our perk is our annual leave entitlement, so can't complain too loudly - 33 days a year + bank holidays, so could be a lot worse!! My little Peugeot 206 is hanging in there - she's got over 100,000 miles on the clock, her bumper is cracked and has lots of dings, but have to say - touch wood - I've had her since new in 2007 and never once have I had any problems, so would probably trade her in for a new 208.

I'm still aching after JM's fat buster on Sunday morning, so will probably give tonight a miss and get back on to the shred tomorrow evening.

Didn't sleep well either last night, so have decided to work from home this morning and go in later morning - quite good as means I can catch up with a few things.

Morning all. Manic day this morning so no chance to catch up. Shattered. Really didn't want to get out of bed. Can't wait till my week off and can get some proper rest!

Carol hope you OH agrees with you to go. would be a shame for your sister to miss out on you being there but so horrible of them to send a nasty email..

We don't get any perks at all.. 25 days holiday + bank hols but that's it. Don't get paid overtime if we have to work it.

I used to get 25 days + BH in my last job but in this one I only get 20 +BH which isn't great, the only perk I get is that I get to work from home full time now.

Been waiting for my boss to join a video call for almost 10 mins now, starting to think he might have forgot!

Thanks All, We are going but will just bite my tongue hard if anything is said. I was worried about my wedding day as other family members don't get on as well but turned out perfect, will let nothing ruin her day. Even if it means having it out with my brother before hand.

Been busy morning today of to take client to dentist then to the pub he is meeting friends so will leave him there and go back and collect him later.

It's been quiet in work so far, as the college symphony orchestra are doing a lunchtime concert in the concert hall in the city centre, which takes out quite a lot of students. They're playing the Planets Suite by Holst, which also involved a choir of female voices, so all of the female undergraduate vocal students are singing. It will probably get busier this afternoon though when they all come back.

Close MagpieBride, I Vow to Thee My Country is in Jupiter, which is also in the Planets Suite. Venus is the last movement which is the one the female chorus is in. Interestingly there is no movement for Pluto as it hadn't been discovered. Someone added one a few years ago but it's not generally performed, especially now that it's been decided that Pluto isn't a planet after all.

Just ordered some maternity wear from M0therc@re. We do have one in Cardiff centre but it's a little bit tight to go there and back in a lunchbreak and have time to browse, and it's out of my way to go when I finish work. I've done a click and collect though so I don't have to pay for delivery. I think to get there and back and just pick the order up will be fine. I had a gift card to use from Christmas so I ordered some maternity briefs (I'm getting sick of my knickers rolling down my bump) and a nice top as well. They're a bit on the large side as choice was limited, but I'm sure large will be better anyway, as I'm sure I will have gone up a size or two once I've given birth.

The new 208 is great lindsey - I had one as my first company car whilst I was waiting for my permanent one - 1.6 diesel got 700 miles out of £45 fuel! Really nippy comfy, dab and good multimedia system didn't want to give it back!

Sorry to hear gf - hope you're ok anniversaries of birthdays of loved ones are still very hard - I can see the pain in mums eyes everytime it's grandmas birthday or anniversary of her death.

Flossie - I really struggled to sleep because of stress when I was working full time and at uni - I used the purple k@lms tablets, made sure I didn't use my phone for the hour leading up to bed and tried to read a book before bed and I started to get sleep again and my insomnia was terrible I was literally awake tossing and turning all night some nights might be worth a try - it's completely herbal so nothing bad for you

Thanks for the suggestion Becci. I know there are things I can take that are herbal and won't have side effects or whatever but I still don't want to get into the habit of relying on something in order to sleep. I would like to read before bed but I feel guilty for keeping the light on when OH just wants to sleep lol. I might start reading for a bit before we head up to bed and see if that helps.

Emily 25 days plus bh is pretty good :)
We used to get 24 plus by but they've caj hed it now so we have 24+ however many bank holidays you get in a year so you physically have to request bank holidays off. Bit of a bummer

Emma - do you like working from home full time? I practically do for now whisky out new system launches but will be travelling at least once a week to conduct training and then twice a month for my team meeting and the airport meeting. Working from home sometimes makes me feel a little bit like I'm not doing anything even though I'm always busy! I should also be visiting suppliers but motivating yourself to go out and work is hard work.

Saw a role for HR business partner at bishop hospital isn't that similar to what you do lindsey

Good idea :) maybe try the other options before the tablets .. Try and get some pillow mist or sleep balm for your temples if your not keen on the tablet idea or a nice hot bath with lavender in before bed and maybe read a bit of your book in the bath :)

I came off the tablets without a problem and still managed to sleep if that helps a decision if nothing else works :)

Yeah it's so much easier, I sometimes find it hard to get motivated but I was like that anyway haha! I sometimes feel like I'm not doing anything but I know I am, it's hard to make sure I stick to my hours too because more often that not I'm working past when I should be! Overall though I do enjoy it, it saves me money and means I can get housework done haha! I make sure I take the dog out for a walk at lunch time too so I get out at least once during the day.

Ahh there's just been a knock at the door and there was a woman delivering a big bouquet of flowers for me from OH, lovely surprise :)

That's how i feel. I always feel obliged to be logged on at 8 but then before I know it I've worked til 6 or later because it feels like people will question what you're doing otherwise
