Morning all, Had drs this morning, OH came with me to calm me down a little. Went ok. Got lots to do in work this morning. Then a fairly quiet afternoon so will do some of my to-do list then.
Hope your LO is ok Emma, maybe he's finding everything a little too much with your OH little one and the wedding coming up. Like you say some quality time with him this week should help. Maybe worth talking to his school to see what they say?

OMG I am so annoyed and upset. Just got back from the hospital after having just left OH there. I feel like I've just dumped him in the hope that he'll still get to his appointment on time, all because there was no parking! We spent so long driving around the multistorey and then the main car park and even the carpark we knew we couldn't use as we had no change for the ticket and they were all full so I ha to drop him at A+E 2 mins before his appointment time so he could run through the hospital, and I've just had to come home. :((

Morning ladies, job hunting again today, hoping I can find a job that wants somebody to start immediately, there are quite a few out there but I'm sure there's a lot of other people applying. A bit annoyed at the recruitment agency, they said they would find me something and if we had nothing 2 weeks before I finish they would look for temp jobs for me. I haven't heard from them for 2 weeks and I've left 3 messages and nobody has called me back!
I'm sure your OH will understand Steph, hospital car parks are always a nightmare.

Sounds a bit off from the recruitment agency, normally they don't leave you alone and are desperate to find you something! Fingers crossed you find something soon - I am sure you will.
I've literally just seen on FB my step FIL's mum moaning about the hospital here - queues down the motorway just to get into the hospital as there isn't any available parking, she's going to miss her appointment. She's disabled so she can't just get dropped off and go in on her own as she needs her husband to help her.

I walked to the hospital yesterday to visit someone, despite knowing I'd be exhausted, because parking is a pain. It's supposed to be free in Wales now, but if a hospital has a contract with a private company that has to run out first. The road through the hospital is often packed at visiting time. I'm hoping if I know early enough that I'm in labour I'll be able to walk. Otherwise it'll either be a taxi or getting a friend to drop me off, as hubby doesn't drive yet. At least if it's at night time it will be better.

When I was on labour with my LO we had to park miles away and I was in agony. OH was even contemplateing carrying me as the parking was so rubbish and I didn't want to go in the hospital without OH

There is a drop-off point at the women's unit, although I'm not sure exactly where it is. They don't do tours and the video they send round is not helpful. It means that if the father or another birth partner is driving the mother in, they can take them in and help them to get settled before parking the car up properly. It does mean the person driving does still have to leave the mother alone. Even if hubby did drive I think there would be something to be said for being dropped off by someone else. Thankfully we're about ten minutes walk away, and I think it would be feasible at the hospital to have ten minutes walk from the carpark.

Afternoon all. That was one hell of a morning. Feel worn out.
Its poor that there isn’t enough room for parking at hospitals. Imagine if your OH was on his own!
Elinor I know what you mean about wanting your OH there with you. But for both me and my sister my dad was told to go home and leave mom in the hospital and come up in the morning. I don’t like it idea of being alone either going through it.
Got rice for lunch. Not really feeling it but hey ho!

Emily if he was on his own I don't know what would have happened, we don't like abandoning our cars like some people do so he'd probably have been 2 miles away somewhere! He's ok its just I would have liked to have gone seeing as I had the opportunity to. Plus it sounded interesting what they were doing to him.
Still annoying as he was having a stress echo on his heart. He finished at 1145 (they were running 40mins late already) and had to walk home, he just got in about 15/20 minutes ago. So maybe a 2 hour walk in the rain and drizzle after being put undr stress, when they say to take it easy afterwards. Not right.

Emma I'm sure something will turn up it always does. I find with agencies they won't talk to you if the person answering the phone isn't the one looking after you because they work on commission, you just have to be ...... persistent with them.
Had my hair trail, its a sort of messy barrel curl up do thing. I don't like the way the from looks as its all scraped back but I will be able to get a piece to cover it so that's fine but the back is lovely :)

Ahhhh,feel much better.... My nails are back lol. I lasted all of a week without them! Hate not having them on but they were becoming loose all the time and it was driving me mad!
Just spoke to OH and we are ok so that's made me feel better too. LO has been as good as good today so a bonus there.
He's at his nannas tonight as its her birthday and they are going out for tea so I'm going to clean through and put a film on and chill on my own

It's weird as we hadn't fallen out as such but it was just awkward...... I hate any sought of atmosphere and we have never argued.
I really want to go out walking to clear my head but I promised OH I wouldn't go alone.... There's no one else about either to take with me
Me and LO are hoping to go on a geeking mission tomorrow. It's a drive by series so you pull up find the cache and get back in the car lol.... It should be a nice adventure for LO as there are a couple of small tree climbs. He will love that!!

I enjoy it Emily..... It gets you out to some beautiful places. A car series is just an excuse to go caching but for LO to come with me lol.... He doesn't enjoy walking anymore!!
OH says there are too many weirdos out there for me to be going through woods and places on my own. I suppose he's right but it just limits me to where I can go geeking x

Sorry ladies, yes he strolled in at 805pm, had a huge telling off and sent to his room, then I had to go straight to work. Turned out we were a mw down (we only have 4 per shift), so was a bit of a crazy night. I'm glad it's over, now I have a good few days off before back to it next Wednesday,

Of course you can guarantee that when you're a midwife down that's when every baby in the area will decide it's time to arrive. Mine is still hanging on, nothing yet. Mum and Dad are coming today until Saturday, and Mum pointed out that I'll probably go into labour just as they get home, 400 miles away.

Nice day here too. Fresh but sunny so will warm up in a short while!
My plan for a relaxing evening went to pot before I walked through the door. My dad asked me for help sorting out his new broadband package so ended up spending hours looking at deals and which one to go for. Finished at 9pm and I told him I wasn't cooking then so he went to get fish and chips in. Need o finish it off tonight and call the old supplier and new supplier to double check everything is what we expected.
