He will, I told him about the extra £200 earlier, before I found out about the £30 per day and he was considering seeing if we could get the money for the holiday back lol. Obviously we both want to go so we wouldn't do that but he thought it was stupid. Then he said just pay it but he if knows we can have a car of our own for cheaper he will go for that. He's been wanting me to get a car again since I got rid of my last one haha xx

I've seen a really cheap old Clio that I'm thinking of getting. It's so old but I just need something as a little run around and to get my insurance down a bit. I was looking at getting a new 208 but I'd rather get something cheaper for now then after the wedding get something better.

I doubt it will be pay related news but will be nice just to have a chat with him 1:1 and talk about everything in a lot more detail :) he's been asking me this morning to delegate things to the new colleague which is so weird, hate asking people to do stuff, I'd just much rather do it myself! Her probation period is up in 4 weeks though so he wants me to put quite a bit of pressure on her so he can see how she will cope and if she is worth keeping.
Nothing wrong with an old run around - got one of those myself haha. Would love a nice new shiny car but just can't justify things like that at the moment. Have a good check of the service/MOT history to see if it's had many problems xx

Sounds like a good plan Emma. Id love a new car but my little KA runs perfectly and has nothing wrong with it technically so there's no need to change it. I just wish it was a bit bigger.. with all my work gear my boot is constantly full!

Yeah I always used to have someone with me when buying second hand cars, my car before this one was an 02 plate was a great car and I got it for £800, did me 4 years before an expensive MOT then sold it and got out brand new car we've also got a 99 plate @udi which has never failed us that's H2B's run around xx

I would consider getting a new car on finance whenever we have our own house. Just seems silly to do it at the moment when we know we're going to be applying for a mortgage at some point.. especially now that they take affordability into consideration too. Won't look too good being committed to expensive monthly car repayments!
Love my little car though, not had a problem with it really in 2 years so fingers crossed that continues! She will need a new exhaust box at some point as it's starting to rust, but the mechanic said it's still got plenty of life left in yet before it will need replacing so not really tooooo worried about that. As long as it happens after the wedding!

This one is an 02 plate but it looks in really good condition, I don't really care if it breaks down after a year because that's when I'd be looking to sell it anyway. The car I had before was a 56 plate f13st@, it was fab and I loved it but the insurance was so expensive! xx

Emily, I always wear ear plugs, I could hear them through the ear plugs.
My daughter wanted me to walk her through town to see what's going on, so I shall do that now and then have sleep later, put a beef casserole on in the slow cooker this morning so no need to cook apart from veggies and spuds later

I always eat at my desk too, but it's not too bad because I'm normally here on my own anyway so no interruptions! If I'm not on my own there are only 3 other people who ever use the office and it's very rare they're all in at the same time anyway. Love the peace and quiet!

Afternoon All. Well after a busy 2 weeks off work I am now back at work for 2 weeks! Booo hoooo! Hope everybody is well sorry not had to catch up on the posts. Mum picked me up from airport yesterday and took me to my uncles, stayed overnight with him, good to see him he is 93 years young and always worried it may be last time I see him as he is fairly frail bless him. Him and my aunt practically brought me up so very close, my aunt died over a year ago so he gets very lonely now. I don't get to see him enough but always make sure I ring him every week.

I work for a car hire company with a £70 deposit and only 23-24 year olds pay young driver surcharge but it's fairly expensive if you are under 25. You should be able to get a mid sized car cheaper than that somewhere around £125 per week is about average
Benefit of the hire car is if it breaks then the hire company just swaps you into another brand new car, however if a car will be beneficial for you in the long run then you are better buying a run around
