So we are having a garden reception in July this year! Im very excited about it because it saves us so much money and we are on an extremely tight budget!

The problem we are having is keeping the kids entertained as the ages are so different. One new born, a 5 year old, 6 year old and a 14 and 15 year old :/ What kind of games ect can we get/make CHEAP to keep all age group occupied x

Ive looked at giant garden games but the prices are WAY out of budget!

    Any help ladies?? :)

Could you get a paddling pool for the five to six year olds?

The teenagers will most likely either want to stick with the adults or amuse themselves.

    Pinatas?
Make little craft kits for them - coloring, stickers etc?
Or do a little treasure hunt, with chocolate coins as treasure?

Teenagers are predisposed to be bored and grumpy! I'm sure there will be enough on the day to keep them amused.

Lol if they are anything like my nieces, bored and grumpy is a default setting!

Have you looked at hiring outdoor games?

At garden parties we've been to, there are often a4 sheets of paper with little quiz type things printed on...for example, my sil did one which were the answers were all sweets. The clues were all cryptic type ones, for example 'where mum likes to drink' was a clue, the answer being Mars bar (ma's bar, see?) which are a great ice breaker although don't know if it's something you'd want at a wedding reception, but it's something the teenagers will be able to get involved in....you kind find tons on t'internet.

    Xx

How about giving them all a disposable camera and a list to complete, slightly different for the older ones.

you can get hula hoops in poundhsops. not only good for hula hooping but putting on floor as bases to jump into, or part of a race..

My kids love games with balloons, how many can you sit on and pop, how many can you get up your jumper, passing them under your chin or between your knees.

hula hoops also good for throwing things into ie tennis balls etc...

three legged races are always fun (yes even i still love them at 36 lol)
