Not so much a rant but ... am I the only one who imagined the whole american type thing of having a handfull of bridesmaids, at least 3/4 adults, when I got engaged I had loads of close girls, but in the last year they have all but disappeared! We all used to be really close like close close, now they barely escaped my book of face massacare. In the last year I have seen them maybe 1/2 times.

I really miss having that close knit group of girls, I know it sounds silly and that its just want growing up is about, but after seeing all the pics from Comic con, this past weekend with them all together made me feel really down! :(

I know how you feel, Lana! It is easy to think that all weddings are like american movies, but it's just not like that here! And the more I plan, the more glad I am of that to be honest! I have one best friend and the rest are just kinda friends from school, no one special, but as you say it's just part of growing up! Who are you having as bridesmaids? From what I've seen, it's more common to have close family etc than a big group of female friends, so don't get yourself down about it! The people who really matter will be there when it counts :)

Im having my cousin as my MOH and my best friend who im really close to even tho I've only known her for 2 and a bit years, met her at our anti-natal and her daughter is 2 days younger than my baby girl, we see each other atleast every other week if not every week, sometimes twice a week!
