Hi All, I live in Blackpool but have never been to Funny girls but am hoping to go for my Hen Do. Just wondered if anyone else has ever been and what they thought of it.

Not been to Funny Girls but when we go over to Blackpool we tend to got to their sister club, Roxy's. That opens til 3am, and a lot of people who have been to Funny Girls tend to go there (think they give flyers for it in FG).

I went to funny girls on a hen do a few years ago and had a fantastic time. I would definitely recommend it. The group I went with was really mixed age wise and everyone appeared to enjoy it. I would consider going for my hen do. Hope this helps xx

Hi i have been twice and to be honest its not really my thing.I found on both occasions that we just spent a lot of time standing watching the show and not talking/interacting with each other. It might have been better if we had seats but by the end of the night on both occasions my feet were killing and my voice was hoarse from trying to speak to my friends over the noise.I don't doubt that its a great show but to me its neither a night out with mates or a trip to the theatre...it just kind of falls short of either. On the other hand i know people who absolutely rave about it xxx

hey hun, i went to funny girls about 3 years ago for my moh's hen do. i was really apprehensive about it as its really not my kinda thing at all but i absolutely loved it :-)
I would suggest you pay that little bit extra to get seats as you probably dont want to be stood or dancing all night
    Have fun
    xxx

we all went to funny girls a few years ago hun, and had a fantastic time!! we also had a meal there (not sure if they still do this) but the food was yummy! we then went into the main room to watch the show, but i would recommend booking a table for the show! and then at least u dont have to keep on getting up to go to the bar lol (they have waiters/waitresses) lol xx

I have been a few times. They still do the dinner and show. I would pay the extra to be seated, but the booths are for 4-6 people. They don't have bigger ones. At the weekend they do have a balcony VIP area with its own bar you could look into. Be warned they charge you more per drink when brought by waitress.
But it is a fab night. It's not the place to go if you want to be able to chat away the night. But the show starts and stops all the time so it is good that you can have a chat, then watch the show for a bit, then chat again when it stops. Show finishes about 11.
I went for my birthday with a group of 15 of us. We had a fab time and the ones who had never been loved it.
The also have the compare Zoey for the evening and plays music requests between the show.

I've been, we too had the meal and the booth rather than standing up all night. It's a good laugh and I'd recommend it. I think theres something similar in Manchester called Birdcage?

Oh wow, thanks girls, loads of feedback there. One of my friend's sister knows the owner Basil and she said to ask her about it nearer the time and she would try and get us vip seating etc and so far everyone is keen to go. Can't wait now

I went last year for a hen do, definitely get seating as I've stood before and thats a lot of standing! When standing, it can be more of a show, but I enjoyed sitting down as it meant we could chat and have a 'normal' night watching the show and talking round the tables! The show is very good, costumes fantastic and in between dances they play music and you can request songs. Generally a good laugh though a little expensive. Blackpool is a good night out though so a good place to go for a Hen do! x

We've found a great Italian restaurant that's near Funny Girls so we're going there first and are booking seats at Funny Girls, roll on 28th September as that's my hen night woo!
