i booked our photographer through my sister, shes only 18 and doing it at college and shes amazing!! its whats she wants to do when she gets older so i thought fab. plus its costing us nx to nothing. well shes just txt me saying that shes been asked to go to morocco to teach orphaned kids for the summer and it falls on my wedding day!! now dont get me wrong i dont blame her for wanting to do this, sounds amazing but why the hell did she not tell me she was applying so i cud find some1 else coz i wudnt have risked it. another question theres a fab deal on w0w/Cher for photographer the deal is 100 digital images and can upgrade for £50 for 300 images. full coverage from ceremony to 1st dance. pre-consultaion. plus mounted print all for £269. but looked on website n u cant look at any work. how do i no they will b good and how do i no they will have my date? and it ends tomoz!!!!! help plz!!!

I would drop them an email tonight and then call them in the morning before buying it through the company. You should be able to look up their details and get some contact info, just to check your date and ask for some of their work. Have you checked their website?
I can see why your not happy about her not telling you she was applying, she probably didn't think she'd get it, but it's always better to be honest with people just in case. Especially considering how close your wedding date is now, I'd understand if she was telling you now and you were getting married around the same time as me.

she was only charging us £150! we dont have any spare money to b splashing out on photographer now, im gunna have to leave it for tonight. i cant think straight. my little girl isnt well either so im not gunna get much sleep either. thanks ladies. i dont no where we will get the money from xx

Ring or email your local colleges & uni's, I'm sure they could recommend plenty of other students that will do a fab job, maybe even the teachers might be willing to do it.

Aw bless you. That's awful! I think Keira's idea is great - I'm sure there would be a few really talented students who would love to help. Alternatively try wedding fairs as there might be some offering good discounts xxx

I honestly don't blame her to be honest it's a once in a life time opportunity Ask if she has any fellow students who would want to do it But don't be mad at her, it's her life and building up incredible experiences is more important than your wedding day to be blunt It will have a impact on the rest of her life but your wedding day won't Hope you find someone x

tbh she had no need to tell you, it may well have been that she applied along time ago and having not heard anything thought that was it she wouldn't be going .. you could have gone down the route of booking and paying for a photographer but i understand that you had seen her work loved it plus its was costing you "nx to nothing.".. better she told you now than 2 weeks before the wedding .
try using the Quote me function on here or as someone else said what about contacting a college/uni that runs photographic course so see if you could meet with students evaluate their work and possible use one of them to help them extend their portfolio
do you no what ladies i really dont appreciate ur nasty comments about her not telling me she applied and why sud she have told me. i wud love it for it to happen to all yous and c how u feel. i have already sed in my introduction that i dont blame her for applying and if she had just come to me and sed im applying for this and it cud land on the date of your wedding i wud have sed well good luck, i wont risk it ill find some1 else. i asked her last june so she must of applied after that. none of you have answered or given me advice on what i sud do about the w0w/cher site just given me a telling off for blaming her for what she did. i will contact other photographers n colleges n uni's. ive done it for other things

I totally agree with you if she knew she had applied and could be going at the time of your wedding of course she should have told you! There's no doubting that in my mind. It's not very fair...
If you can find recommendations for the person on w@wch£r and they're good then go for it... Or if a friend is good on a camera Or this sister can recommend someone in her place Or a student or teacher
I really feel for you... If that was my sister I would be steaming but like you, understand that this is a great experience for her but at the same time your wedding is your world at the minute, I really hope it works out x

Which you shouldn't be I was only saying thar this is an amazing opportunity for her and to not be mad at her I don't use wow voucher site if something's to good to be true it usually is I found my photographer on the tree of gum for £300

as regards your question about the "offer Site " this is a difficult one as you say you want to be able to see examples of thier work before you book it ..have you tried goggling the name to see if it brings anything up for you ? im happy to look if you pm me the link
That sucks but like you said it is an amazing opportunity for her and you wish her the best. It's just a real shame that it falls on your wedding day.
Personally I would be a it uneasy about booking a photographer if you can't see their work. I'd definitely contact your local colleges e.t.c :)
