I cant stand fruit cake, so it's unlikely we'll have it at our wedding. We'll probably have a chocolate tier for me, a vanilla tier for H2B who doesnt like chocolate, and then carrot cake on top which we both like. We dont want kids, so no point in having the traditional top tier of fruit cake to freeze for the christening!

I don't like fruit cake but h2b does and his side of the family does, so we are having a three tier cake.
Bottom layer fruit cake and the other two sponge.

We're doing the top tier fruit for the traditional christening cake (even though I hate fruit cake), lets hope we can conceive now, 2nd tier will be chocolate and 3rd tier (the biggest) will be lemon yum yum yum. I want to eat it now!

    I can't wait until 29/06/2013
The day I marry the man of my dreams!

Was going to have 2 sponge tiers and top fruit. But now thinking a choc layer with Baileys buttercream inside. Mmmmmm. Taste buds are going now. I also like the mini fruit cake ideas. We won't be saving the top tier as the fruit cake is for the grandparents and older people who want it. Will prob just give the left over cake to people. There are plenty of families with kids going so I'm sure they will take some and the bigger kids (being our friends) :D

We are having chocolate but only as the cupcakes as the icing is green to go with the colours and mint flavoured so works really well with the chocolate sponge. The top cake will most likely be a normal sponge.

We are having none of the above! We're going for Strawberry (possibly) cheesecake! Both very big cheesecake fans and thought we could double it up as a pudding :) xx
