So last August I made a decision to make small hanging fabric hearts for my ladies favours. I started to make them and then a good friend (who is very talented at sewing) offered to take over and complete them (she told me it would only take a few weeks- so she took all the fabric to complete them.) So now 3 months before the wedding I have heard nothing.. nothing at all (after asking several times about them)! Now she is engaged so I totally understand that she will be busy with her own plans. So now I have to complete the favours (which have not been touched) !! Feel a bit let down and panicked about getting them done.

Have you got all the fabric back?
I'd be very annoyed too if I were you, she's had them such a long time and if she's now planning her own wedding she should be understanding and realise she promised she'd do them and get them done. Is there anyone who could pop round and help you do them? Make it more like a fun activity to do together.

well I could ask my mum but she has a lot on too! apparantly she is dropping it off tomorrow so I will see then how much there is to do! I am a bit worried as before he took them she saw the couple I had done and she said that they weren't very well finished so I do need someone who is better at sewing than me so either mum or MIL.
Oh honey, poor you :( I am sure if you speak to your mum annd mil they will help you! Hugs x Hope you get them sorted! If I have realised anything with planning this wedding its not to rely on anyone else xx

You poor girl thats awful, how dare somebody promise something so important and then let down at last minute. I know your trying to save money, but it might be worth finding out how much it would cost to get them done, you have so little time and right near the end when you are all stressed all the little bits start happening, it may just be worth footing the bill on this one.

I think I may need to ask H2B very nicely for a few extra pennies haha!

Not very good on her part to have just left them and left them despite you asking for updates... At least you know now rather than a few weeks before the wedding I guess x

You've done a fab job Chanel. Love the colour too :o) My Mum is helping me to make some bunting to put up at our venue. I'm useless at sewing but it'll be good fun to learn :o)

They are beautiful, I have not even thought about favours yet, think that might be after all the big things are bought xxx Charlotte I was thinking of bunting too xxx

aw they look lovely, and shame on your 'friend' for offering to do them then returning them all un-done! she'll soon realise with planning her own wedding how much of a horrible let down she has been!
