So the wifey to be and I are out in France on a choir tour as we speak and although we would love to go to the Caribbean as mentioned before, we are so in love with France... I lived here and it's like my 2nd home and the OH loves it too.. Honeymoon wise we'd love it here as we'd spend a few weeks out after the wedding just going to all our favourite places and having a thoroughly wonderful time. Obviously it's a little while off yet but we wanted to get a general consensus of what others think! The Caribbean would be a once in a lifetime holiday as we'd never have the money or time to do it again probably whereas France we could do anytime but the Caribbean is VERY expensive and we do love France. Also, the fact is that what we'd pay on flights (c£2,000) would actually pay for 3 weeks travelling about France plus spending money..... Decisions!!

I love France, personally; great climate, lovely countryside, great food and wine; and it sounds like it's special to you.
The only thing I'd say is to not discount the Caribbean based on price; OH and I have been 6 years running because we actually find it cheaper than Europe; we looked at Italy and France last year, but to get the standard of accommodation we would want, and enough spending money to really indulge in food and drink, we were looking at way more than it cost us to stay at 5* resorts in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. However, some places are very expensive, so, it does vary.

barbie86 makes a lot of great points. Personally, I'd go for the once in a lifetime trip.
Yep agree with Lala; the Caribbean sounds lovely but it seems your heart is already set on France so go with it :)
