While searching through the Eden project websites on what seeds they sell or plants I came across Venus Fly Traps I have always wanted them I think carnivorous plants ROCK!! Everyone will leave with their very own Venus Fly Trap growing kit and they have to plant them and take a picture when they are grown and I'll put them on here our wedding website on book of face everywhere and to name them I want to name my Venus Fly Trap Cleopatra as the Adams Family Named their Venus Fly Trap Cleopatra The Eden Project offer the seeds with free gift wrapping an Eden Project Jute Bag Perfection Should I add anything else to the favours as that is a little personal gift from the Eden Project they get to take home with them Anything else to add?? What do you Lovely Ladies Think ??

It's something to do with they need it to be quite warm and humid to grow...not a hydrophonic, I'm getting confused but it's a little plasticy thing that controls the humidity and temp - kinda like a mini greenhouse. I think they're quite inexpensive though, I'm off round to see him so will ask him for any tips! Xx

Forgot to add: Venus fly traps don't needed a propagator (for humidity etc) except when sprouting seed, so are suitable for a windowsill. When seed sprouting, a plastic bag does well :) Great fly catchers!

Hi lana, just got back from fils..
He has a propigator for them to keep the temp and humidity high...but he did say that a plastic bag would probably work just as well, he is only using it because he had one to hand. You might need to give guests a few instructions, but I think it's a fabulous idea and idlove it if we got them as favours if we were wedding guests!

If you cannot purchase a Venus fly trap from your local garden center then by from the Eden Project Shop Online as I did cannot wait my seeds will be here in 3 working days but going home to H2B wondering do I let him plant the seeds or wait till Easter and do it together Think I like that Idea better =D <3 X

I know it sounds expensive but Im hoping when Cleppatra makes flowers you are to rub the faces together of the flowers to pollinate and then they should produce seeds hopefully Cleopatra will be able to make seeds for us that we just need to store away from the sun and from the damp. May be able to make enough seeds for all of our guest then will just need to purchase carnivorous soil and plant pots get lil boxes and pack them up type up instructions print them out on paper and may have to ask the Eden project if I can purchase the jute bags with the tags on their own and put the favour in the bag with a Thank you Message from H2B and I =D <3 X If we fail to get Cleopatra to seed then will have to buy everything from the Eden Project and Yes Expensive But Worth it I think What could be cooler than Growing your Own Venus Fly Trap??
