As some of you may know last week we found the perfect cake design for us! very unique and out there (for those who haven't come across my previous post, last pic in cake album) but unfortunately is was only a picture I took on my phone from a magazine...
anyway, there is a possibility we will be using the cake design but finding someone else to make it for us, at a much cheaper cost! - thanks to another UKBride member recommending someone to us!!
However, I wanted a better picture of the cake design as it wasn't the best quality, and the only information the original cake lady had left on the invoice was an issue number and page number of the magazine she found it in! So there's me thinking oh no what magazine will it have come from? Lucky for me, last year I set up a cake business with someone and she had the odd cake magazine that I used to flick through, so I narrowed it down to 2 different ones... found one of them on Bay of E, High St price was 4.99 but she wanted 4.50 plus 1.90 postage and packaging.... £6.40 is a hell of a lot to waste on a possible magazine that may turn out useless, but I thought I'd go with gut feeling, and ordered it anyway.
It arrived this morning, went to the page and low and behold there it was in all its glossy goodness!! Looking at the cover, it was an issue from Autum 2011 and brand new magazine, I'm chuffed to bits and just had to share with you all!!!
Lets hope and pray OH doesn't change his mind now!!! xx
